Chapter Seven

Castiel and Dean barged into the house, slamming the door behind them.

"GABE! SAM!" Castiel called frantically, his heart beating faster than ever.

"In here!" A voice called and the odd couple followed the voice up the stairs,

"Gabe? Where are you?"

"I'm right here in my room."

Dean was the first to burst into the room, Castiel following quickly behind him. The two boys looked upon Sam and Gabriel, who were lying next to each other and entangled in the blankets.

"Gabriel.."

"What's wrong Cas?" Gabriel untangled himself from Sam and moved to where he stood in front of both of the teen boys,

"You both look as if you've seen a ghost.."

Sam sat up, looking directly at Dean, as if he were studying every aspect of his face,

"What happened Dean?"

Castiel looked at the floor, "Someone informed Officer Raphael and he is on his way here to catch you AND Sam in the act of skipping school.."

Sam sighed, "Well that's not so bad.. Is it?"

The room filled with a tension that you could cut perfectly with a knife. Finally, Dean spoke up,

"Has he told you about his little incident?"

Sam shook his head, "What... What is he talking about Gabe?"

Gabriel began to tear up, his eyes flicking from to Dean and back to Sam.

"Remember I told you I got arrested?"

"Yea? And?"

"It wasn't for solicitation.."

Sam's eyes went wide, "What did you do?!"

Gabriel went to speak when a knock at the door resonated throughout the quiet house,

"I can't explain it Samoose." The teen ran over to his moose and hugged him tightly,

"But I know this might be the last time you see me..."

Sam looked his boyfriend in the eyes, "Please Gabe.. Don't say that..."

"HELLO! I AM OFFICER RAPHAEL!"

Gabriel began to panic,

"He won't catch you if you climb out of the window and run to your house Sam." The teen turned and looked at his moose, smiling sadly,

"Go moosey, and know I will always love you."

Dean ran over to the window and opened it, thankful to see it wasn't as far up as he thought,

"I'll go first and catch Cas when he comes out, Sam don't stay to long."

That's when boots began to clank up the stairs,

"MR. NOVAK!!"

Dean threw himself out of the window,

"Come on Cas!" And with that, Castiel jumped out of the window.

Sam looked at Gabriel, "Come with us please... I love you.."

Gabriel walked over to Sam and kissed him, pulling away to smirk at him one more time,

"Remember, that I will love you, always."

"Please just come with us, Bobby can help get you out of this-"

A bang from the room next door let the two teens know that the cop was near. Gabriel smirked wider, popping a sucker into his mouth,

"Sometimes it's better to face your past and stop running.."

Gabriel motioned to the window,

"My time was short anyway Sammy, I am too restless."

And with that, he helped Sam out of the window. Once Gabriel saw them run out of the backyard and towards the other house, he turned and faced the door just as it opened,

"Well well well, if it isn't Gabriel Novak, how's probation?"

Gabriel laughed, rolling the sucker over his tongue, "It would be better if your ugly mug was somewhere else."

"Joke all you want, but humor never survives jail."

"We'll see about that."
