                                                                           (In Love There is Magic)

After a short journey in Dean's car, you arrived at a small motel just off the highway. You pulled up and Dean showed you the way to his room. Awaiting your arrival was another man- or was it a woman? They had long very hair, but a handsome face. "Uh... Hey, I'm Sam?" The other man half-smiled, a look of confusion crossing his face. You returned the friendly gesture and looked up at Dean. "Can I have Sam?" You asked him innocently. Both Sam and Dean flashed you startled expressions. "Woah woah. What?" Dean gasped. Sam walked over and frowned at you. "It's a rather nice name. I'd like to have it... Unless you don't want me to?" Your eyes flicked between them. "Oh." Sam giggled childishly. "Aw." Their faces relaxed and they both grinned at each other. You felt a blush rise to your cheeks though you weren't sure why. Dean put an arm around your shoulder and sighed "Why don't you think of something else?" You nodded and smiled with them. "Make yourself comfortable, you may be here for a while." Sam pointed to a seat and wandered off into the kitchen. Humans were... Not so bad. That is, as long as they were all like Sam and Dean...

Nearly a week after you had met Sam and Dean, you were becoming accustomed to human behaviour- sleeping, shopping and the likes of that. While Sam was researching ways for you to get back, Dean had taken very good care of you. You two had developed a strange but simplistic friendship, at times you considered the idea that he may think of you as more than a friend. Not that you knew much about that stuff, you'd only seen it on TV and when you went out. Now you only had your name left to decide. You'd heard many new names but none suited you. One day you were at the park with Dean, he wanted to take you out to lunch as a treat. When you were watching the kids play, you heard a mother call out to her daughter. She said her name, a very pretty name. It was Y/N. That was it- that was the name you wanted. Shifting in your seat, you glanced at Dean. "Dean, I've chosen a name." You beamed excitedly. "Yeah? What is it?" He asked, intrigued. "It's Y/N..." Dean's eyes widened and he squinted at you. "I... I love it. It's perfect Y/N." Suddenly, he pulled you into a gentle hug. He heaved a sigh and you buried your face into his neck. "Y/N, there's something I have to tell you." There was a strange sadness in his eyes. What could be wrong? You were both so happy, or at least you thought you were. "What's wrong Dean?" You titled your head and looked at him. "Your father has come to get you. He found Sam and he's going to take you home." Dean finished solemnly. You weren't sure how to respond. You were supposed to be ecstatic, you were finally going home! You were going to be with your father again. But you were also going to leave Dean behind. Sam too. A sad ache spread through your chest and Dean watched your pained expression. Moments passed of silence. Dean laced his fingers with yours and your thoughts flashed back to that night when you were looking up at the trees, and you believed that you'd never find love... Love. Is that what this was? Love? Tears blurred your vision as you glanced up at Dean. "What's the matter?" He cupped your cheek gently. You sniffed "I don't know Dean, I don't even know if I want to go back there. Everyone here is so much more free, I like it here." You averted your gaze. "But, don't you miss home? Your father?" Dean frowned. "Less than I am able to believe." You whispered sorrowfully. Your eyes wandered across the ground, landing on a pitiful flower which was wilting while the others that grew were plentiful. Casting your magic over the lilliputian plant, your urged it to grow. And it did, brighter and stronger. Much like yourself in this new world. "C'mon Y/N. We should get back." Dean patted you on the shoulder, but you stayed where you were, zoned out from the world around you, focused on the flower. "Y/N?". Numbly, you craned your neck to look up at Dean and muttered "I'll meet you there, I'd like to stay for a while, since it shall be for the last time." He looked taken back by your suggestion but nodded slowly and backed away, keeping his eyes resting on you the whole time.
