Broken Gem [Steven Universe FanFiction] [On Hold]

Chapter 7

I sat lonesome in the living room of Stevens Beach house. Ok maybe not completely alone. Pearl was there picking up Steven dirty tee shirts off the floor.

She was sniffling. Not saying anything. Her eyes were red and tiredish.. Dark circles formed under her eyes causing her to look even more tired.

Pearl seemed the most upset about this. Maybe.. Maybe.. Even more than me. She cried and sniffled every second of every day. For the whole three day of Stevens Death she's been like this.. Sad and depressed.

Her inspiration was stolen from her, her voice and motherliness Snatched within 30 seconds. Her heart ripped in two.

I felt bad. Utterly horrible. She continued on like this for a few minutes. Before a quiet Amethyst and Garnet walked through the door.

Garnet already unfused once through the whole three days. Let's hope she can pull through. Ruby is clearly the pissed off one, she's angry and upset. While Sapphire, she's stiff and cold. Like she's frozen and doesn't know what to do but cry.

Amethyst just carries this blank expression. As if she's breaking inside but tries to show a string front..

Amethyst walked in with her fist clench and eyes twitch. Without a word she walks into her bedroom.. A few seconds later a huge crashed is heard, followed by a shriek which breaks down into a fit of crying.

Garnet just stays next to the door. Frozen.

Pearl bends over to pick up another one of Stevens shirts. However she only grazes her finger tips over the top. Her eyes clenched shut. Tears prick at the corner of her eyes.

Sniffling hard. Garnet than walks over to Pearl and engulfs her into a hug. My red burning eyes only watch. My headache growing larger. And tears once again prick at the edge of my eyes.

The squeeze each other tightly.

"I miss my baby.." Pearl mummers quietly through her Rough scratchy voice.. Both Garnet and Pearl stay within the hug for about a minute. Before Pearl exclaims.

"Garnet! Your squishing me!" She says through her short breaths.

"Sorry.." Garnet states obviously being knocked out of her thoughts. Her foot was on top of the star on Steven shirt. "I was just trying to say.. Me too.." She whispers quietly.

Soft cries Escape Garnets lips while Quiet sibs leave Pearls. As they hug they fall sheepishly to there knees.

I thought this was a perfect song time... They were finally making up.. Why not?..

I started tearing up... Steven, I wanted to protect you...

I was beckoned by Garnet. Gradually, I fell into her and Pearls arms. We fell silent for a bit. Ok.. More like the deathly silence that filled the room.

Maybe it was because Stevens Unharmed gem for warmer. And brighter. It shines a lightly colored pink... Than it started glowing full on bright pink...

However a Crash of Objects made the gem go dull once again.. I was angered. Amethyst raged stopped Stevens gem from Doing what ever it was intended to do..

Pearl was clearly pissed off. Garnet held a tight disappointed look on her vibrant red face. I sighed sadly as Pearl summoned her door to sneak into Amethyst room. While Garnet went into the Crystal Heart.

I sighed. Now I see what Steven was talking about... Settling down Stevens gem gently on the wooden table. I sat on the couch hugging a pillow I found lying there...

"Steven.." I sighed quietly. "Come back.. For me.."
