"Corro get back in this carriage right now!!", the queen commanded. " listen to your mother and get over here! ", the king shouted. Corro was face to face with a phoenix who was much smaller than the soldier and slightly bigger than Corro. unlike the soldier bird this phoenix had a Jem in its head. Corro reached out to touch the jem on the forehead of the Phoenix.
"Hello I am Kyu! You look funny! ", the Phoenix said through an astral flow with Corro. " hi I'm Corro I am a human prince! I was possessed by a demon! " Corro replied. "interesting it seems as if you were possessed by a nasty dragon! Can you keep a secret! ", the Phoenix said. " oh what is it! I promise to keep it! " " okay... I'm a princess too! But i am trying to run away so I won't have to be apart of purge night!" "what is purr-ja?", Corro asked.
" it's when all phoenixs are allowed to commit as much chaos as we can without punishment. We aren't allowed to harm our species young and tomorrow my young days will be over... And if I stay I will turn into a were-phoenix until this nightmare is over... If I live that long! The worst part is most phoenix purge other creatures that aren't apart of the system and aren't strong enough to beat us in our were-phoenix mode! If you guys stay in this island any longer you will die! ", princess kyu explained. " haha I guess everything wants us dead! " Corro laughed.
" what are they doing" the king said. " I don't know but that thing is too scary close to my baby! Pass me that daaang gun!!! " the queen ordered. " ayye ma'am! ", the king said as he tossed his wife the gun.
" you are a very cool... Person! I don't have many friends... Do you mind being my friend?! ", Corro asked. " of course I wouuu-----... ", before Kyu could finish the astral flow between the two new friends was broken with a pooow.
" good aim sweetie! ", the king congratulated. " anything to protect my baby... Unless it has to do with demons! " the queen said blowing the smoke off the gun. "Nooooooooooo, kkkyyyyuuuuu!!!! ",
Corro screamed. " was that a sneeze?! ", the queen questioned. " bless you son! " the king said.
