It was a quiet and calm day in the city. The weather was nice and perfect for simple walks and strolls in places like the park. And it made it just that much better that there was a fair set up in the main square.

(Y/n) loved things like fairs and circuses, they reminded her of when her life was just so... Simple. A nice kind of simple. Way back when her and her parents would go out all the time to the circus or something. It was nice.

(Y/n) let out a sigh as she walked along side the river that ran through the city. She really did miss the old days. (Y/n) had decided to leave the Company a little bit early today, just to saver the time in the beautiful weather.

As (Y/n) walked, she couldn't help but take long looks at the couples who passed her, or the ones she passed, for that matter.

Although (Y/n) wasn't the "love" type, and although she would probably never admit it, she actually had her eye on someone. Ever since the day she first joined the Armed Detective Company.

She has no idea why she likes him, though. He's almost the polar opposite of her. (Y/n) always worked best when she "winged it". She wasn't exactly too keen on the idea of having a set plan. She always liked to make her plans as she went. Then... There was him.

With his little notebook that he always carried around, his "Ideal". His "guide in life". (Y/n) scoffed at the thought. The idea of planning out every little detail of ones life before hand was... Well, ridiculous! To any normal person, it was a bit silly.

So imagine what it was to her.

Even so, (Y/n) couldn't help but feel a strange, kind of tingly feeling when he was in her presence. She couldn't help but steal extra glances when he wasn't looking. She couldn't help but smile whenever he referred to his "Ideal".

(Y/n) stopped walking right before the bridge. She turned around to face the river and she just stood there, enveloped in her thoughts. Matter of fact, she was so deep in thought that she failed to notice someone walk up behind her.

"Lost in thought once again, I see," The voice startled (Y/n) at first, but she didn't show it. Once she recognized the voice, she couldn't help that tingling feeling, yet again. (Y/n) sighed.

"Yeah, I guess so," She spoke, not even looking behind her. He walked up closer and took a place beside her on her left.

"You seem to be thinking about things a lot, lately." He started, "Anything you want to talk about?" At this, (Y/n) tensed up ever so slightly that, to the untrained eye, it was unnoticeable. But to him, it was almost obvious.

"No, no. I'm alright..." She sighed as she trailed off, eyes still fixed on the river. (Y/n) heavily disliked the idea of sharing her feelings, especially if the said feelings were feelings of love, and extra especially if she was sharing with the very man she felt those feelings for.

"If you're sure." He sighed slightly.
(Y/n) took a small side glance to the blonde. Something seemed... off with him today... or maybe she was just crazy. The two fell into a rather comfortable silence, with a dash of awkwardness.

The silence was broken when the noise of joy and laughter flooded in from the town square. (Y/n) smiled as she thought about the good old days. Then, another thought crossed her mind.
