Bismillahi rahmani raheem
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Most Merciful

As we all know, Allah doesn't prohibit nor permit without having a reason behind it. Sometimes we know of it, other times we don't. Fasting has its benefits apart from its spiritual side.

Just by fasting twice a week, you can reduce the chance of getting Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease. And from caloric restriction (refer to 'How to Eat Iftar' chapter), studies have shown for it to prolong one's lifespan, grow new stem cells, repair DNA, and many more, if you continue some more research.

In an article by Racha Adib from Al Arabiya English, fasting during Ramadan also gives tranquility of the heart and mind, improves blood fat levels, may assist in overcoming addictions, and promotes fat breakdown and weight loss. Who doesn't want to lose weight?!

And that's all from me for today, wa asselamu alaikum, peace ✌🏼️
