Chapter 15

Hide!

------------------

Sweat dripped down my face as I felt my heart double its speed.

Each stride I took felt longer than the last, soft whispers cascaded

my body as I was surrounded by college students not too far from me.

The sweet, sincere look in their eyes quickly faded and was replaced

with the look of vengeance.

"Becca Mclarin." One of the students said.

"You are a sick, sick girl!"

"What did I do?" I asked.

Suddenly a group of students were around me hovering my body

causing me to feel weak with their dark eyes.

All at once they started chanting

"We must eliminate the problem."

" We must eliminate the problem." They repeated.

While they continued to chant they stepped aside to let a tall man

from a distance walk by. Little did I know, the tall man happened

to be Professor. Carter.

What is he doing here? I asked myself.

Like the others James joined in the chant but continued on with something

I could never forget.

"You are the problem Becca."

--------

I jolted up from my bed in cold sweat and glanced at the clock.

Only 10:45 pm

This is going to be a long night.

---------------------

Becca's POV

As I sat down in Charlotte's car all I could think about was the dream and what it meant.

The last few words kept floating around in my head. How am I the problem?

"Earth to Becca!"

I got out of my thinking trance once I realized Charlie waving her left hand before my eyes frantically.

"What is up with you? You look as pale as Edward Cullen."
Normal I would laugh at how corny Charlie's jokes could be, but today I was feeling low, so low that I didn't feel like myself.

"Just woke up on the wrong side of the bed."I said hoping that my explanation would shut her up for the moment.

It didn't work.

"Becca I don't like to see you so out of it." Charlie explained.

I looked over and saw how helpless she looked.

I've seen her happy, sad, angry, tired and drunk but I never seen this face on her.

"Okay I'll tell you." I said before explaining in great detail about the most vivid dream I've had in a while.
