"Dipper please. Dipper I don't want to leave you. I don't want you to go." She pleaded.
"I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere. Please I..."
"No! That's what you said last time and the time before that. I've lost you now three times... I don't want to lose you again. So... so please..."
Dipper woke up. He looked over at Mabel's empty bed. The calendar had up to June 18, crossed out.
It had already been two weeks since the twins had returned. Dipper got up, fixing his hair. He looked in the mirror, his eyes had bags. Something had kept him up all night.
How did Preston become Governor of Oregon? What happened to the Northwest Family? Why did it feel like something had been erased from my memory? These were some of the many questions Dipper had.
He tried to dismiss them as just coming back to a changed town, but something wasn't right.
He brushed his teeth and walked downstairs.
"Mornin,' kiddo." Gruncle Stan greeted.
"Oh Dipper, good morning." Ford said, working on another gadget.
Dipper gave a simple nod before walking out the door.
Wendy and Mabel were talking on the porch.
"Morning bro bro."
"Hey Dipper."
Dipper smiled then put his hands in his coat pockets and continued walking.
Wendy and Mabel looked at each other.
"Hey Dipper, everything alright?" Wendy asked.
"Yeah, why'd you ask?" Dipper replied.
"Well you've kinda been acting all dark and gloomy since we arrive." Mabel said.
"Oh I've just been thinking about some stuff that's all." Dipper explained.
"Oh okay, well Wendy and I are going to see the new Ghost Harassers movie if you wanted to come with?" Mable offered.
"Sure sounds great." Dipper went along.
They got to the movies and watched Ghost Harassers 3.
To Dipper's surprise, he could almost foretell the whole movie, like he had seen it before. But that's impossible because it was a new release, so-thought Dipper.
They got out of the theater mid way through the credits.
"Man, that was the best one yet!" Wendy exclaimed.
"I dunno, it felt kind of predictable." Dipper said.
They walked back to the Shack with the lingering thought in Dipper's mind.
I don't know what's going on, but it's time to get to the bottom of it.
