Football players aren't a big deal at school. I don't walk around school and see a football player and think, oh, that's the quarterback of the school. And mainly, it's because I don't even know who the quarterbacks are for the JV and varsity team.
I don't even know the names of most of the players (actually I don't know what most of the players look like, lol).
My point here is that people don't worship football players. Not all the football players are popular. Not all of them are buff and muscular (well not that many people in our school are anyway). And not all of them attract flocks of girls.
