Chapter 17

When i woke again i was happy to find it wasn't to another nightmare.

I sat up stretching my arms and yawning. Derrick made a noise next to me and i looked down at him.

He was still asleep. He face was relaxed and not emotionless as always.

I smiled as he breathe softly in his sleep. He was so beautiful even in his sleep.

I watched him peacefully for a moment realizing how crazy i was becoming for him.

I shook my head smiling that's when my stomach growled making me realize how hungry i was.

I quietly got off the bed making sure i didn't wake derrick from his sleep.

I tiptoed over to his mini fridge and looked inside. He really didn't have anything in it but water and a half eaten sandwich.

I sighed grabbing a water and closing the door. I decided just to go to the kitchen to grab something to eat.

I opened the bottle of water taking a few gulps as i made my way to the door.

I opened the door taking one more look at derrick sleeping form before going out into the hallway. Shutting the door i started walking towards the hidden stair case.

Before i even got close a hand landed on my shoulder that made me jump. I almost screamed if the person didn't put a hand over my mouth.

"Shh Shh if derrick wakes up he'll kill me if he knew i scared you" Shana voice said behind me before she turned me around to face her.

Her dark hair was pulled back into a loose pony tail and her eyes were wide with anger and worry.

"You know how cranky he is when he wakes up" She whispered looking towards the door and sighing in relief when it stayed closed.

I took a deep breath to slow my racing heart before glaring at her. "Are you crazy you almost gave me a heart attack" i said swatting her hands away.

She smiled innocently "Oh i just figured you were hungry since you haven't ate in two days" she said blinking her eyes rapidly.

The comment i was going to say died "two days what are you talking about."

She sighed wrapping an arm around my shoulders. "Derrick brought you in the other day with your mother. Your mother was beyond herself worried and upset, but derrick seemed beyond worried."

She led me towards their library arm still tightly wrapped around my shoulders. "He closed you up in his room he also threaten that if anyone came inside he'd kill them" she continued pushing open the library door.

The huge room looked almost exactly like a real library i always admired their house. She tugged me over to the brown sofa set in the middle of the room.

"So you've been in there for some hours he wouldn't even leave your side for a moment" she said before sitting down. I sat down beside her getting comfortable.

"He did feed you i don't know how but he always had food ordered to the room" she said looking confused before shrugging.

"Alena im ready" she yelled making the quiet library echo with her voice. A small girl came running out with a dish tray wearing a maid outfit.

I smiled as she walked up remembering her all to well. "I have lunch all set for you.." Alena said out of breath before tripping.

I sighed as the tray fell over but shana caught it as always. "What did i tell you about being careful" Shana said setting the tray down "we don't want you to seriously hurt yourself one day."
