"Why do we have to move to the middle of nowhere?" I sat in the back of the car angry that I had just left my city life and was now driving into the country side. "Sweetie we had to leave so your brother couldn't hurt us anymore, plus I got a better job up here." My dad smiled at me but I scowled at him, "I am leaving all my friends and don't tell me that I will make new friends because I don't want new friends." I turned over and closed me hoping that I could just sleep and everything would be better.

"Sara wake up we are here," I opened my eyes slightly as I looked at the run down house and barn, and stable; "This place sure needs a lot of work done." My dad laughed, "Yes I know but it's worth it, you will see." I sighed and looked at all the pale white broken fences and uncut grass and stumps that probably use to be trees.  There was a long stretch of road before the house, the road end and the run down house came into view.  "The U-Haul truck won't be here till tomorrow and then you start school on Monday."  I put in my head phones and grabbed my stuff picking one of the few rooms on the second floor. It was Saturday night and I was tired, I had no bed covers but I didn't care I laid down on the hard bed listening to music and was fast asleep.

"Sara wake up the U-Haul truck is here and we need to fix this old place up," I moaned and sat up, "Ok mom." I dug through my clothes bag pulling out a white t-shirt and pulling on some overalls and some old tennis shoes.  I walked down the stairs and grabbed an apple off the table and sat waiting for the truck to finally show up. I put my head down on the table and was fast asleep, the truck honking its horn scaring me so bad I fell to the floor. I stood up and headed out to the truck, the workers were already moving in the couches and stuff, but I snuck in and grabbed a few of my boxes and carried them up to my room. I was unpacking my clothes and other objects when there was a knock at my door, "Sara we have a visitor." I opened the door and looked curiously at my mom who was just smiling, "He is down stairs helping your dad move stuff." I smiled and headed down the stairs and looked around when I heard an unfamiliar voice, "So are you guys going to get any horses or any pets?" My dad laughed, "No, my daughter doesn't like animals." My parents just didn't listen to me I was about to go yell when the voice spoke, "Where is your daughter?" "Sara we have company," I turned the corner not realizing they were closer than I thought, I smacked right into the stranger. I blushed bright red when I looked into his sexy brown eyes with his shaggy brown hair. He held his hand out and I placed mine in his, he helped me up into his arms and I smiled. "Well I am Sara what is your name?" He smiled making me blush more, "My name is Coda," I looked out and saw someone riding up the road on a horse. I pushed past Coda and headed towards the stranger on the horse.  The beautiful palomino came to a stop and the guy got off, "My name is Ed and this is John my horse."  I stepped forward about to pet the horses face when Ed stopped me, "Don't touch my horse he's a prize winner." I looked at the handsome guy, he held out his hand, "My name is Sara and I don't like snobs like you." I turned and walked back into the house grabbed Coda by the hand, "Were taking a walk be back later." I stepped out the front door and headed towards the run down barn. Ed hopped on his horse and galloped away, "I hate guys like him." Coda laughed, "Guys like what because I don't want to be like him." I laughed, "Snobs, who think there better then everyone." He laughed and smiled at me, making me blush. I walked towards the barn, pulling hard on the door, "Can you help me or are you just going to watch me struggle." He smiled, "You're cute when you're struggling to do something."  I picked up a rock and throw it at him hitting his stomach making him fall, I was laughing so hard that I was crying. He sat up and walked towards the door and pulled hard as it squeaked and screamed at us, I walked in and looked at all the trash and dirty rusty beams, "We have a lot of work." I looked back at Coda who had a shocked look, "When did this become a we thing." I walked towards him giving a pleading look, "Please help me." He smiled and laughed, "Ok fine." I saw in the back corner a wheel barrel and shovel and pitch fork, "Will you go be hulk and bring the wheel barrel over here." He laughed and I went and got the pitch fork and shove. I began shoveling all the old hay into the wheel barrel. It took us two hour but we got all the horse stalls and ground to the point where it was actually cement ground. I whipped the sweat from my forehead and looked at Coda, "Wow that was a lot of work do you mind if I take my shirt off?" My eyes got huge, "No I don't mind." He laughed and took off his shirt revealing a four pack; my eyes got lock on his shirtless body, "Something wrong?" "Uhh nnoo I am just going to yeah," he couldn't stop laugh as I stood blushing at the ground. I looked at the empty stalls hoping that one day they would have horses in them and this place would have life. "What are you thinking about?" I looked at the concerned look on Coda's face, "I was hoping one day that this place would have horses in here." I smiled at the thought, "So you do like animals?" I laughed a little, "Yes I do, my parents just don't understand." He pulled me into a hug and I wanted to stay in his arms forever, " This place look great," I jumped out of Coda's arms and stared at my dad stomping past him and ran down the road, I got half way when I stopped and sat down. I pulled my knees up to my chest and placed my head down on top of it, I let the tears fall down my face. "Sara don't cry what's wrong?" I didn't look up, "My life has been turned upside down and backwards I just want happiness." Coda picked me up landing me on my feet; my face still was towards the ground I just couldn't look at him. His hand lifted up my face so I was looking him in the eyes, tears fell as I looked at him. He pulled me close against his chest, my eyes locked on his. In one quick move he placed his lips on mine, I kissed him back. I finally pushed him back feeling light headed, he gave me a goofy smile, "Your very bad I just meet you and we're not dating." He smiled and kissed my cheek, "Would you like to be my girlfriend?" I laughed, "No, but if you can catch me I might consider it," I took off running and he followed closely, he caught me from behind and whispered in my ear, "Caught you that means you are mine girlfriend." He picked me up and swung me around in the air, "Put me down Coda." We laughed and he finally put me down, I locked fingers with him and we walked towards the house. The sun was starting to fall and I knew Coda would have to leave soon. "Baby I need to get home but I will come back tomorrow and help repair the fence also I am going to give you rides to school starting Monday." I hugged him and he kissed me. My dad walked out holding rains to a horse, "Her name is Scarlet, would you like to pet her?" I smiled and walked towards Scarlet I gently stroked her head and she pressed her nose against my chest. Coda turned towards my dad, "I was wondering on Monday since the only way to school is horse back if I could keep one of my horses here for your daughter in the barn?" My dad laughed, "Yes it will be fine." I hugged Coda and kissed Scarlet on the head, "See you two tomorrow." Coda kissed my cheek and then jumped up on Scarlet's back. I watched him ride away and look back once, I winked and he rode on. I turned around and my dad stood smiling, "So we move her and in one day you already have a boyfriend." My dad smirked and I walked in the house, I grabbed a plate off the table and went to my room.  My room had a few books but the bed was all made up, I sat on my bed looking out my window eating my plat of vegetables and chicken.  I finished and placed the plate down, "My life was changing for the better; I had a boyfriend, and a new life maybe this wouldn't be to bad." I laid down and was quickly asleep smiling.
