Later that week
It's about time. I finished my first week here, it feels surprising accomplishing. I sit in Troy office waiting on him so I can get my money and leave. He finally walks in.
"Congrats you finished your first week" he handed me a envelop.
"Thanks man" i hit the envelop against my hand a couple times and head to walk out.
"The crew going out tonight you want come" he ask me.
I not a big person on the party scene but why not.
"Yea, I'm about to head home just text me the time and place and stuff" I tell him and he nods his he yea.
I walk out and head turns when I see King door halfway open. I walk pass and I hear someone call my name. Shit. I was hoping just to slide out and see everyone later.
I turn and see its King that call me. I walk into his office.
"Close the door behind you" he looks up and tell me then look back down. I close the door and sit in front of him.
"Alright you made it huh, I thought you leave after the second day. You seemed weak to me when I first meet you" he laughs a little bit. I'm not even going to give him the reaction he wants. I'm let him talk, but it's going in one ear and out the other.
"I guess you fooled me, huh. Below us they the underdogs, you lucky you didn't have to start like them, I know you would've cracked then" he said talking about the people that pack the drugs and stuff.
"Lucky for me huh" I said ready to go, and he just talking to talk now.
"Yeah, lucky for you, but I brought you in here to ask if you wanted to work with me like we did the other day, aside to what Money has you doing" he ask and my head shot up, is he crazy I'll be damn his personal slave.
"Umm can I get back to you on that" I tell him and get up.
"Yeah take your time, I'll see you later" he said and I walked out of his door.
I walk downstairs where the people were packing the boxes, I looked at them and I could tell they got no respect around here. I walk out the door and head home. Once I get home I get a text from Kami.
Kami- you coming tonight
Joy-yes
Kami-okay, the girls I want to introduce you to going to be there to.
Joy-alright
I cook some food because I was so hungry and then I get in the shower and pick out what I'm wearing. I pick out a dress I got when we went to the mall. I pin my hair up and go in the front and watch tv. It only 7 and I'm pretty sure we're not going to go until like 9.

I wake up on the couch and have a text from Troy to be ready by 9:30 and its 8:30 now. I get up and take down my hair and put on my dress. The dress makes me look so good. I never dress up and this is basically my first time because I never went to prom or homecoming and I didn't dress up for graduation. I finish getting ready I put on some fake lashes and apply some lipstick and put on my heels. I hear my phone vibrate and it's Troy.

I text Kami to see where she is.

Kami finally arrives and I get in.
"Oh shit check you out mommy" she yells through the car.
"Joy where you get all that ass from girl, making me look like a damn stick" Kami says, Kami is shaped perfectly, her body fits her.
"Girl just drive" I laugh at her.
We arrived at the club XXX. I follow Kami in and she goes to the vip section. 2 other girl are sitting there. I guess the guys aren't here yet.
"Ok, girls this is Joy" Kami introduced me to them.
"I'm Bria " a brown skin girl says smiling.
"I'm Carmen" a Hispanic girl says waving. So far they are giving off good vibes and they look cool but looks can be deceiving.
We get a couple drinks and then the guy's finally arrived.
"Hey sis" Troy comes up to me and hugs me. He goes straight over to Bria so I'm guess they have a thing going on.
"Wassup up y'all" Ron follows behind him and goes over to Kami.
So I came her so they could be booed up and I'm just sitting here. "It's ok girl you got me" Carmen moves next to me.
Then King and Leo walks in and they sit on the couch diagonally from me and Carmen. "You single to" I asked her.
"Girl nah, I'm with Kami's brother, Jay but his ass in jail for a couple more months" she tells me smacking her lips. I felt eyes piercing the side of my face, I looked over and seen King looking at me. He had a type of look in his eye but I couldn't identify it. I turned away from him and looked at Carmen dancing in her seat.
"Girl come on let's go dance, I'm tired of looking at them all caked up" she rolled her eyes, and I laughed and agreed. I wonder why King was looking at m like that.
As we were dancing we talked and I learned a lot of Carmen even though we were dancing. I learned she works as a nurse and a personal doctor for the people at the warehouse and so does Bria. That she is 21, and Bria is 20. I stopped dancing to go the bar and get something to drink.
"Damn, how you doing. Can I buy you something" some guy asked me, I rolled my eyes. I really don't have time for this.
"Nah, thanks for the offer. " I tell him hoping that he will leave.
"It's ok baby, I go you" he step closer to me looking me in my face. Then he had looked up and I seen fear cloud his eyes.
"Nah, she good" I hear a deep voice behind me I turn around and it's.... really King, but I'm thankful.
"Oh man, King my bad I didn't know this was you" the man tripped over his words.
"You should know, she the baddest one in here. Now you know" King told the man as he leaned on the bar talking over me. I just continue to drink my water, and the guy walked off.
"Thanks" I said, looking everywhere but at him.
"No problem, but you know what I said is true" He turned around to lean his back on the bar and he was facing the crowd.
"What's true" I asked looking at him and he just stood there licking his lips.
"I'll see you later" he whispers in my ear. His voice sent shivers down my spine, i made me feel a type of way, I can't tell good or bad.
I get up and go find Carmen I she her with Bria and Kami dancing. I walked over to them and joined them.
"What took you so long" Carmen ask me.
"I just got caught up with something" I tell them, and continue to dance.
