Jinx's POV

I lied there on that chair, just waiting for something to happen. My limbs felt like jelly and I couldn't find the motivation to struggle anymore. Korse injected my with alot of that adrenaline reducer. I had lost the feeling in my wrist a while ago. They were red and bruised. Even a little bloody. My mouth is dry, and I felt as though I was gonna pass out.

I spent my time thinking about Party. How his fire truck red hair was noticeable from 2000 light years away. How his perfect teeth would show every time he smiled at me. There were so many things I loved about Party.

But there are to many things he hates about me now.

The door opened again, and I expected the arrogant asshole. But instead I got an uninviting S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W officer and two Draculoids. He didn't speak, he just took the cuffs off of my wrist. The blood flow returned to them, and I winced at what I saw. They were raw and dark. Little spots of blood were pooling in the deep creases. He pulled me off of the chair, and I fell onto the ground. I was weak, I could barely move. He roughly pulled me up by my hair and forced me to stand. He motioned for the two Draculoids to help him. They grabbed both of my arms and forced my to walk. Their grip was unbearably tight. We walked out of the room and for the first time in hours I saw more than one light. I saw dozens of door similar to mine, all probably occupied by Killjoys like me.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked. My voice sounded worse than it had ever. No one answered my question. We walked until we reached a door. The S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W officer opened the door and the Draculoids threw me in. I landed in the floor with a loud thud.

"You have fifteen minutes." Said the S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W officer. He shut the door and left.

"Jinx?" I heard someone ask out my name. I weakly stood up and saw that little girl with that big curly head of hair. It was Missile Kid! She ran over to me and I fell to my knees. She hugged me tightly and I hugged as tight as I could. I let go and held her by her shoulders.

"Did they hurt you?" I asked frantically. I noticed a few bruises and cuts on her face. But everything else was fine as far as I can tell.

"No, no. I'm alright. Did they hurt you?" She asked. I felt tears of joy spring out of my eyes.

"Who cares?!" I cried.

"I do." She said. I pulled her back into another tight hug.

"What have they been doing to you?" She asked.

"Just drugs. Lots of drugs." I said. She noticed my wrist, but I waved if off.

"Don't worry about that. We need to get you outta here." I said. She looked down at the floor.

"No ones gonna come for us and there's no way out. They told me if Party and the others try to come into the city, they'll be shot on sight." She said sadly.

"This is all my fault. I'm so sorry. I've put you all in danger, all because of my stupid birth." I cried. She wiped my tears away and looked at me with sympathy in her eyes.

"Hey, don't be sorry. It's not your fault. Just because you're Korse's daughter, doesn't mean your bad. You shouldn't let your past or your background represent who you are. I like you for you." She said. When she said that, a whole new wave of tears came over me. No one has ever said that to me before. And I felt so much better just hearing it.

"You're brave, Jinx. You're brave for tying to get me outta here." She said. I smiled and pulled her into another hug.

She reminded me of my little brother, only the female version.
