To be honest, the authors on most fanfics actually do a pretty decent job on the cell phones the characters use.

But how their characters use them is as logical as a unicorn

ALSO, when they get kiddnapped, which obviously HAS to happen at least once, and they steal the kiddnapper's phone (who was STUPID enough to leave it out in the open) they suddenly remember the phone number of every person they know.

It takes me at least 10 seconds to remember mine before I give it to someone else

And Im pretty sure the kidnapper doesnt have Niall's number saved in his contacts

Lastly, if clingy Kylie, AKA Taylor Swift #2, calls Harry once and he doesnt answer then he's either mad at her or dead
