Imagine you and Thomas got separated from the others in the scorch. While you are looking for the others, a crank comes out, grabs you and bites your leg. Newt can hear you scream. Thomas picks you up and carries you back with the others. "What the bloody hell happened?!" Newt asks with a really worried voice. Then he sees your leg.
