Avery woke up a few hours later. She looked to the grandfather clock in the corner of the room and saw it was midnight. She looked to Luhan and saw he was asleep. She got up and went out onto the balcony, admiring the way the moonlight poured through the trees and illuminated the forest. When she looked down, she saw a pair of red eyes glowing in the darkness. She squinted to get a better look at them. Once the eyes realized that she saw them, they moved into the light so she could see them. She looked down to see Kai standing below her. Suddenly, he vanished in a puff of black smoke and appeared in front of her,
"Kai?"
"Avery."
He smiled as he pulled her into a tight hug which she gladly returned,
"What are you doing here?"
"I've come for you. The others are worried. Please come back with me."
Avery hesitated,
"But the boys here need me. I'm the only thing keeping them from tearing each other apart."
Kai held the back of her head softly as his arm snaked around her waist,
"Please... Come with me. I lost you to them once. Don't make me lose you again..."
Avery's heart broke when she heard his voice waver, as it reminded her of her brother,
"Alright.... I'll go with you."
He smiled and pulled her close,
"Thank you."
Then he kissed her as if he hasn't seen her in years. When they broke apart he smiled,
"Let's go."
She nodded slightly as she looked over to Luhan as Kai scooped her up bridal style and jumped over the balcony and raced back through The Forest, her eyes never leaving the mansion,
Kris, Chen, Luhan.... I'm so sorry,
As Kai ran, the trees began to shroud the mansion from her view and she leaned her head against his shoulder, part of her was glad to see the others again,
But I hope Kris and the others find me again. I don't know why but a part of my heart is breaking. I don't want to leave them... Do I... Love them?
Their faces flashed through her mind as Kai ran through The Forest,
