All started with a dare 2

C h a p t e r 5

Today was so long!:( Not only did I have to spend a whole painful hour with Mr Murray but I had to dwindle my thumbs through boring IT. Life is so boring at them minute but at least it can't get any worse than this!

I walk on my own to the bus stop as per usual, just waiting for the holidays that weirdly seem to feel even further away each day. Im immediately broken from my train of thought when a car drives through a wretched puddle of muddy water and splashes its contents all over me. Guess I was wrong things can always get worse :(! As I try desperately to try and get the mud off of my coat, I'm distracted from the whailing of , 'Why meeee??' inside my head. As this distraction seems to possess me I realise that maybe it wasnt just inside my head. How did I realise you ask, possibly from the looks I was getting from others around me, and trust me I don't think you get those type of looks just for going about your business quietly. As I try to slink away by reciting every harry potter spell that I have ever heard, it starts to rain. And when it rains, it rains hard.
In a matter of seconds I am completely soaked through to the bone and slightly regretting my comment about things not getting any worse. Eventhough, my athletic abilities are way less than average I decide to run to the bus stop which is about the same speed as my normal walking pace if I am being honest but still I power through.

Just because I am virtually a deer on ice; I decide it would be really flattering if I fell flat on my face, so yes before you ask I did fall flat on my face with everyone I know watching #WayToGoJade! Getting up was even more embarrasing due to the dots of mud cemented on my face, and again trust me that the looks I was getting were not pretty.

The gleaming sun disappeared into a pool of deep red as I hurried to catch the bus. Maybe it was my dodgy footing or maybe I was pushed I'm still not sure but I sprawled onto the road. As I clambered up a car came racing towards me, everything happend in slow motion from then on. The car swerved into another car and the other into another until the road was like dead alley. I heard the screams and shouts to get out of the road but I froze unable to move even a muscle, as they shouted two more cars drove round the corner, they were coming straight towards me. People tried to drag me out of the way before another accident happened but it was too late, the two cars swerved into one another.

I managed to drag myself to the pavement to see the damage unfold right before my eyes. As I took in the sheer emergancy of the situation, a woman scoffed "Look what you've done! This is all your fault!". Tears streamed down my eyes as I turned to run but I was abruptly stopped by something in my way.

Alexa. The mean girl of UCL had just recorded the whole incident. "Hmm what should I caption this? 'Jade the Killer' no how about 'Girl kills hundreds and does nothing to help' or even better 'Physco Jade'?".
"No please don't, I didn't do anything wrong I just fell into the road" I pleaded.
"Yeah right, you didn't even call an ambulance, what an awful person you are. Just wait til everyone sees this tomorrow, I just wonder how much hate you're going to get. Watch your back sweetheart;)". And with that she sashayed away into the sunset without backward glance.

Today is going to be awful. I can feel the bad vibes hanging over me. Everyone is going to know what happened yesterday, everyone is going to know that I did nothing to help and that I just sat there. The cold air consumes me as I step out of the door. "Have a good day Jade, see you tonight", my mum shouts. I don't reply I merely shut the door because I know today is going to be tragic.

"Ooo there she is!" I hear murmured from somewhere around me. "The killer!" At that moment I knew exactly who it was; Alexa. "Well, well, well what do we have here?" Alexa smirks as she strides over to me, followed by her pathetic possay who can only watch in admiration. "Caused anymore accidents on your way to school Jade? Or did you knock down an old lady and then run away?" She laughed.
"No of course not. Can you keep your voice down please I don't want this to get around, I already feel guilty enough already." I said with despair.
"Too bad everyone has already seen it" she said as her lips curled into a sly grin.
"What!How?!" I exclaimed.
"Didn't you see?" She laughed. "You were retweeded 1.2 million times on twitter when someone posted that video".
"No, no, no! Why would you do this to me?! I have never done anything to you before! Why me?!" I cried.
"You have something that belongs to me" she scoffed. "And I want it back!"she screamed.
"What? Anything, anything I'll give you anything" I pleaded.
"Trystan" she said coldly.
"Trystan?" I repeated.
"Yes Trystan! He was meant to be MY boyfriend but he chose you, I have no idea why since you are such a freak!" She said as her face got redder.
"L-Look maybe take this up with T-T-Trystan; I have nothing to do with his past love life" I stammered.
"You know what you did!" She said unable to stop herself from bursting into tears.

From that moment on Alexa had not stopped giving me dirty looks from across the halls. Everywhere I look she's there, staring me out and making me so uncomfortable that I start to cringe. Maybe that's why she was doing it, to make me uncomfortable and to make me feel scared of her. Well, If I'm being completely honest I was.
