I wake up to the sound of my alarm clock going off which is a very important detail about my life that I must tell you about or else my day will feel like it has lacked something. My alarm is a loud drumming noise that I downloaded onto my phone to.. well you know.. wake me up in the morning. I say morning but I mean 2 AM because let's be honest, what do you expect from a 17-year-old boy other than a bad sleep schedule?
I'm a very heavy sleeper so I set my alarm at 2 AM so that I can readjust my sleep schedule from now on. It's the first day of school in a few hours and I wouldn't wanna sleep through it. I wanna meet my cool friend Josh.
I roll out of bed, cursing the fact that we have to adjust to sleep schedules. I slowly walk towards my bathroom mirror where I take a good look at myself.
Ah yes. I have messy blond hair that pretty much cover my eyes but I'm fictional so this haircut is totally practical and doesn't interfere with my vision. I have blue eyes if you must know though as I said before, they aren't visible. I'm a skinny white boy if you must know though some girls from school do manage to make me sound more interesting. There's a rumor going around that I'm part vampire or part werewolf or whatever's in these days. My black clothing helps me fit into the "dark supernatural creature" stereotype too so I can't blame the girls.
If you're wondering, yes I like to occasionally look at myself in the mirror and describe myself because why not right? I also love narrating everything that happens in my life. It's because I'm a loner. But don't worry, I choose to be. The teenage girl writing my character thinks that adds to my personality.
Suddenly I hear thunder which distracts me from..my reflection. I look outside to see that it's a dark and stormy night. I grunt at this discovery because since this is teen fiction I must include as much unnecessary angst as possible. My character must appear displeased at all times.
I take one last glance at my blond hair in the mirror and curse them for being so messy. And now I wait for 7 AM to roll around.

Teen FictionHi, name's Joe. My life is as cliche as it can get. I'm one of those good-looking blond boys you read about in teen fiction whom all the girls die for. But things aren't that straight forward. You see, I'm aware that I'm fictional. But I've started...
