Chapter 17

Dev, "I guess, because I was able to relate to your pain."

Vanessa, "I am sorry Dev for bringing it up on an evening like this, I don't know what made me share it with you."

Dev, "there is no need to say sorry. Everything you shared has only made me stronger to deal with my inner battles."

Vanessa, "makes me feel happy if it has helped you but then apart from all of this I am also a big fan of Indian food, dance & Bollywood, which you don't like (laughing)."

Dev, "of course I can't stand all that over dose of drama."

Vanessa, "which I totally love."

Dev, "you are a very interesting person."

Vanessa, "so are you (smiling)"

The conversation between the two went on for hours, Vanessa was amazed to know that Dev did not drink or smoke. So it was time to wrap up the evening & with it Dev realised that his phone had not buzzed strangely for a very long time, so he pulled out his phone, which he had put on silent mode & forgotten, while Vanessa had gone to use the washroom. He was shocked to see that there were about 15 miss calls from Shalini & 10 messages from his Tinder match Kriti. So on priority he gave a call to Shalini to check if all was OK with her. It was quite late but she picked up the phone in just two rings.

Shalini, "you a@sho*# where the fu&^ are you?"

Dev, "Shalini why don't you do something about you dirty mouth."

Shalini, "will you answer my question & why are you speaking so softly? Are you with Parvati?"

Dev, "I am on a date but not with Parvati." He saw Vanessa coming back. "I will call you tomorrow, bye."

Shalini, "Dev you jac&a^s." Dev disconnected the call.

Vanessa, "Dev you will have to help me till my room, I guess I had too much wine. (laughing)"

Dev had no idea what Vanessa was planning or had in her mind. He walked up with her to her room & helped her in by opening the door. 

Dev, "OK then, I can't tell what amazing time I had today, an evening to remember for a life time. TC & will see you soon."

Vanessa, "Dev I don't want you to leave. Please stay the night."

Dev (in a low voice), "Vanessa I don't think that will be appropriate. You should rest." 

Vanessa, "Dev don't be silly." She caught his hand & pulled him on the bed. Vanessa kissed him on his cheek & further on his lips as Dev was trying to push her away & get up from the bed."

Vanessa, "what is wrong?"

Dev (stamering), "you are not in your senses Vanessa."

Vanessa (laughing), "your nervous?"

Dev, "I think I should leave."

Vanessa got up from the bed & locked the door of the room, she pushed Dev on the bed again & dropped her evening gown. Dev closed his eyes & requested her to let him go. She got next to him & started to kiss him again.

Vanessa, "looks like you have not done this before." (laughing) "you are the sweetest thing ever Dev."
