Chapter 57 (part 1)

Then time flew by, I returned back to living life as I always had after cleaning all the mess in my life. After all everyone knows now that I am that f*&%*ng clown who can get back on stage quickly to make the world laugh after being hurt in the worst possible way. Then one day Amelie proposed & with a thoughtless mind I said yes because I guess I had to. I married her & had this beautiful child, my sweet baby girl. Every single day of my life I try to be the best husband & father that I can be but not a single day goes by when I don't think about Shalini, so finally to end it & to know what she went through without having me by her side, today I came here to apologise. To tell her that I am truly sorry & that my 19th date was the best ever in my whole life but I guess she has forgotten me, she does not even want to see me. She hates me or may be dad is right she loves me but is afraid of disturbing my life. Out of all the thoughts that I have about her one thing I know for sure is that I love her.

As I have always believed, real life is not a fairy tale & love can never be found because it is love that finds you. You can be unclear about your thoughts for the person you love the most, may be never even realise that you love someone who has always been so close. Dev got a call in his room, before writing any further he answered. The call was from the reception. The person at the reception informed him that there was someone in the lobby to see him & the lady did not disclose her name, all she said was that Dev was expecting her. So he quickly went down to see who it was:

Her back was turned towards Dev, he spoke, "hello, do I know you?"

When she turned around Dev had a big smile on his face (excited), "Shalini, I can't believe it is you. You came"

Without thinking anything Dev hugged her and tears started to flow down his cheeks, as it was with her.

Shalini, "why are you here Dev?"

Dev, "of course for you. It took me a long time to find you, you changed everything about you, even your name."

Shalini, "I dint want to be found Dev, specially by you."

Dev, "oh Shalini I am so sorry for everything, all that I messed up. I am not even worthy to ask for your forgiveness."

Shalini, "if you are apologising for what happened between us, please don't. It was special & will always remain Dev."

Dev, "I don't understand."

Shalini, "You think the reason I choose to go away from you was because of what happened between us that day?"

Dev looked into her eyes, he had no words but he wanted to hear from her.

Shalini, "Dev I was terrified, scared but there was no guilt in me for what had happened. I wanted to tell Neeraj about it & also that I wanted to end that relation which we were anyways dragging for a longtime. After you left I exactly did that, I told him everything."

Dev, "and then what, you choose to never speak to me & just leave for this place to hide away from all who cared about you. This explains nothing Shalini. We have always come back together after our worst, what made you cut off from me?"

Shalini, "I am not here to explain anything to you Dev, I only am requesting you to leave & never comeback." Shalini was walking off...

Dev, "hold on, I won't let you go Shalini", he went behind her and held her hand to stop her. (Shalini was in tears)

Shalini, "come with me." She took him along in her car

Dev, "will you tell me where are we going."

Shalini, "you want answers right? Just trust me Dev."
