MARTY HELD the letter he took out in front of him, seated on the porch silently. The stacks of letters they had sent each other over that period weren't enough to bring with him everyone, but there were a few he kept in his wallet. Even after all this time he wondered why he kept her letters around to begin with, but it seemed like the answer was obvious.

To my blue,

I'm pretty sure I've tossed already several versions of this letter and I'm still not even sure how this one is gonna go but, we'll try. School's going great after the holidays and everything. I could do without finals being as pointless as they are but you can't always get what you want.

My mom and I also went out on a trip down to The Golden City just last weekend spontaneously, my dad completely flipped. Since neither of us actually told him we were gonna go and we certainly weren't planning it, I guess he had some reason to. You'll no doubt see it soon on the tour, so make sure you take lots of pictures! It'd be a waste to bring a camera out there and not snap a few, take my word for it.

Hope the four of you haven't wanted to kill each other the longer you're stuck in the same space, but I wouldn't put it past you if it hadn't happened already. Get some sleep, don't be too rowdy. . .y'know, like the respectable boy you never seem to be.

I miss you. I love you. Keep me in your dreams.

~ Amy

This was the first one she had sent him on their tour from opening up for Bon Jovi in '87. Given where the band had gotten themselves with those humble beginnings made it feel like more than a decade ago. Having received a call from their manager only moments prior to his being seated in Hill Valley and not back at the recording studio made him receive more than earful on the line but ultimately settled on a few more days to recoup. He only hoped it wouldn't take much longer than that.

"You ready?" Marty turned behind him to see the Doc bringing a small case with him along with Amanda standing over his shoulder quietly.

Her eyes swiftly went to the paper in his hands and motioned to it curiously. "What's—"

"Nothing, it's nothing." Tucking it back in he smiled to the two of them quickly. "And I'm ready as I'll ever be. I don't think you really get used to these things." Frowning over him dismissing her she spoke nothing of it and continued to follow behind the two of them towards the Delorean.

This early in the morning the street was empty, still dark from the sun having not yet risen at the house. The light hues in the sky were only just beginning to wake which the Doc thought to be perfect to carry on in their pursuits. Amanda stood some distance between the pair in front of her, feeling like she was walking on eggshells despite their numerous attempts to reassure her of everything happening.

Marty turned back to her as he took a seat in the Delorean. Noting the lack of space he raised his hands up for her to lower her head inside to see the lack of a third seat for herself. "C'mon Amanda it's only for a brief moment," The Doc spoke, still in his own world when checking the adjustments made for their travel back and around. Nodding in understanding she leaned down into the time vehicle, both her and Marty avoiding one another still even after the Doc joined them.

Putting the coordinates in left for Marty to notice the minor error of that being the time in which they were departing to. The nerves settled upon memories of the time period and what had happened between them. However the feeling wasn't going to stop from the main objective at had: redoing what had been done with Amy.

The three pressed deeply into the backs of their seats, the Delorean having reached the designated 88 miles per hour. Within seconds the group arrived to a dark street and the time vehicle slowly came to a stop. From the distance the campus buildings could be made out but it was too early in the morning from the time on the dash for anyone around them to notice. "We have to hide this, c'mon."

Stepping out first Amanda came to the unfamiliar territory, finding it hard to view her surroundings given the lack of light. This was quickly solved by the Doc soon waving a flashlight on the opposite side of them. Sighing to release her nerves she then nodded in confidence to grab one from him and follow the two in silence.

NINE AM. At least that's what was the time the Doc had given them when they posted by the campus building. Students around them went about their day as the three waited for Amy to exit from the dorms. Seemingly like ages since they last got here the Amanda beside them squinted her eyes to turn to the two boys out of interest. "Whose to say she even listens anyways. Have you two stopped to consider that?"

The Doc lowered himself from his seat rather fearfully for Marty to notice and dismiss his worry. "I'll talk to her." He lowered his eyes to the ground for a moment. "But that's not much of a difference if I'm being honest. She's probably. . ."

He trailed off for the Doc to then focus his attention on him. "Marty, we're here about the accident. Anything else is completely missing the point." The Doc looked between the two of them sternly. "I should be arriving here about 12 minutes after Amanda arrives into the campus building before she speaks to me about the proposal. You both are meant to deter me away while I try and talk to Amanda. Understood?"

The words seemed to come through one ear out the other for her to notice him still hanging onto the statement despite not speaking anymore aside from the understood he spoke to acknowledge the Doc's plan. "When you said we were partners." Marty turned his head to her speaking so casually, though judging from the worry in her expression he could figure he wasn't exactly the hardest to read. "Is that what started this? Because if it is it's a tad bit dramatic."

Not helping to laugh despite the situation he shook his head in disagreement. "No, I doubt it." His smile remained when thinking back to the better parts of those times. "With Amy. . .It's hard to say. She wouldn't do something like that if not for good reason. Besides her and I left on— well, we left because—"

"There she is."

They turned away from one another and looked to where the Doc was pointing. The girl in question was in the midst of a hurry, which Marty was surprised considering the one usually with a lack of awareness with time was him and not her. Still she was hurriedly in the pursuit and left for the three to have little space between their spot and approaching her. Having been too preoccupied on the matter for the two to not notice the individual beside them having sunk in her seat, her mind buzzing with confusion upon seeing the mirror image of herself.
