APPROACHING AMANDA of 1990 with the intention of telling her proposal was brilliant but would cause her to completely forget everything that had happened in her life felt rather stupid when speaking out loud. Yet Marty remained adamant that it would be enough to deter her away. Watching the Doc brush himself off and hurry in the direction of the building him and the half-conscious version of Amanda beside him sat and waited for this time's version of the Doc.

"Time travel? I don't buy it," She said rather suddenly and shook her head to herself rapidly, "I just want this dream to end if I'm being honest."

Guiltily Marty turned away from her to maintain watch again. "Everything's gonna go back to the way it was, I just know it." Spotting the Doc walking on the opposite side of campus left him with very little time to fully acknowledge her feelings for what they were worth. Grabbing ahold of her hand tightly he rushed the two of them towards the direction of his friend.

Spotting the couple rather easily he beamed happily upon seeing them. "Kids!" He greeted them, taking both into a tight embrace. "Or not kids I should say. That's hard to think about sometimes."

"It's good to see you, Doc," Marty managed out, leaving a hold on his shoulder even after they parted.

Noticing the confusion in his expression he dreaded how much longer he was meant to play this out. Turning to Amanda he titled his head towards her for an explanation. "You asked for me to meet you in the labs did you not? Said you had something to show me?"

The two then turned to the girl in question now frightened over being put on the spot like this. Marty eyed her nervously which only made the situation worse if she were being completely honest. "Right, that I did." Amanda nodded, Marty feeling the grip on her hand tightening as she began to formulate a statement for him. "Is the Twilight Zone real?"

Doc stood there for a moment rather confused on the question and assuming it to be a jest. He then gestured a hand between them and nodded knowingly. "Ah, I see now."

He smiled pridefully to hold both their shoulders. Amanda and Marty exchanged a look to one another before back to him. "You do?" The couple said simultaneously.

"You didn't want me to know that you both are together again!"

Silently in relief, Marty shrugged his shoulders to play along with this easily. "I wasn't actually meant to show up, but Amanda and you have been on your own recently with your experiments and all. As much of a surprise for her as it is for you."

The Doc nodded, the three leading into a stroll through the Cal Tech campus. "Well I'm glad to hear of it. I knew the two of you would be alright."

Amused by this and merely interested in the answer, Amanda pursued this further. "How exactly?"

"Because it's just fate."

AMANDA OF 1990, or so the Doc now coined her, remained perched in her seat from the view he had before entering the room. Lightly knocking on the door the girl noticed him there and soon beamed happily in his direction to greet him into a hug. "So glad you got here alright!"

"Wasn't too much trouble," The Doc told, relaxing a bit to pat her shoulder pridefully, "It's always good to see you Amanda." Looking around the empty laboratory that consisted only of her own work bench covered with writings and books laid open along with a whiteboard situated beside her the Doc smiled over the space.
