Y/N's POV

"Tobi, how many times to I have to tell you? He does not!" You say, sitting alone in your car, speaking to your best friend on bluetooth. You were driving over to the Sidemen house to hang out with all of them today, since they needed help planning for a party.

"But, y/n! You're blind!" Tobi's voice says through your car's speakers. "He totally likes you. Don't you remember how he got you a really expensive necklace for your birthday? No regular guy does that if he doesn't like the girl."

You roll your eyes, glad that he couldn't see you. He would have scolded you for doing it. "But Tobi, I've known him for almost two years now. If he liked me, he would have told me by now." You try to back yourself up, but like the many other times Tobi has tried to convince you, he doesn't give up.

"Y/N! Listen to me!" Tobi sighs, exasperated. "Today, pay attention! I bet he'll do something that he likes you back."

You groan as you pull up to a stoplight. "I forgot I told you that I like Vikk." Sometimes, you regret telling your best friend. Then again, it felt amazing to get it off of your chest.

You hang up on Tobi and pull up to the house within a few minutes. You hop out of the car and see that everyone else is already here. Wait, what if someone overheard your conversation with Tobi? That would be so embarrassing!

"Y/N!" Vikk shouts the moment you open the door. He's standing at the bottom of their stairs with a glass of water in his hand. "Glad you could make it!"

"I'm glad I could, too." You reply, sliding off your shoes. You turn back around to see Vikk beginning to walk up the stairs. "Aren't you going to help plan?" You ask him and he turns around to face you.

He shakes his head, his hair falling in his eyes before he fixes it. "No, I have to record some videos. I'll head down as soon as I finish, though!" Vikk turns and runs up the stairs before you have time to reply.

That was weird. You have no idea why Tobi believes that kind of behavior means he likes you.

You walk into the kitchen, where you hear voices coming from. You are about to open the door, but it swings open before you get the chance to push it open yourself.

"Good! You're here!" Josh exclaims, seeing your surprised face as the door almost hits you.

You shrug your shoulders. "I didn't think you guys really needed me to help plan this party." You laugh nervously. Planning parties was fun, until you had to plan them for other people and they had specific things they did and did not want.

Josh laughs. "Oh, you're not. Certain people just like your company!"

You give Josh a look. "Certain people?" You repeat him, seeing if he'll tell you who.

Josh shakes his head and wags his finger. "I'm not telling who, y/n. You have to figure out yourself." He says before walking toward the bathroom. You roll your eyes and shake your head, deciding to ignore Josh. It's a skill you've developed after knowing him for a few years.

You walk into the kitchen to see the rest of the boys sitting around the island, trying to throw Skittles into JJ's open mouth. You smirk and walk over, grabbing a Skittle and landing it perfectly inside of his mouth.

"Y/N!" Simon exclaim as he sees you, running over and wrapping his arms around you.

You try to pull out of his embrace, but he lingers for a few seconds longer than you would have preferred. "Hey, Simon." You say, not matching his enthusiasm. He doesn't notice as he goes back to trying to throw Skittles.

Two hours later, as you finish planning the party, Simon leans his head into the kitchen. You're leaning back on a counter, taking a sip of Dr. Pepper. "Psst... Y/N." You hear Simon whisper. You look over to see him gesturing to come into the hall with him.

You set your can of fizzy drink on the counter, reluctantly. You push yourself off the counter and walk into the hallway. As soon as the door closes, Simon grabs your hands and leads you around the corner into an office.

"I want to ask you something." He says, putting his hands in the pockets of his shorts.

You scrunch your eyebrows together. "And you had to pull me away from everyone else to ask?" You question, suddenly nervous about what he is going to ask.

"Yeah, I kind of didn't want anyone to be around." He says, scratching the back of his neck. When you don't answer, he continues talking. "I was wondering if you'd like to go out to eat with me sometime. You know, like... like a date." Simon says, smiling at you.

The smile that was on your face immediately drops. His smile does the same. "S-Simon, I..." You pause, deciding how to phrase it. "It's really flattering, but, I don't think of you like that. I like someone else..."

VIKK'S POV

"I was wondering if you'd like to go out to eat with me sometime. You know, like... like a date." I hear Simon say as I walk down the stairs. I slow my walking. The only girl that you know is here is Y/N. Is he asking her on a date?

I've lost my chance. She's going to agree to go out with him and they're going to get married and I'm never going to get the chance to tell her how I feel.

My throat swells up at the thought. God, I'm so stupid. It's been two years since I developed feelings for her, why couldn't I have told her before? Now she's gone...

"I don't think of you like that." I hear Y/N say, softly, obviously not wanting to hurt Simon's feelings. "I like someone else." She says, lighting a spark of hope in my chest. She likes someone else. What if that someone else is me?

"Oh, it's okay. I-I understand." I hear Simon say before hearing him move out of the room. I continue walking down the stairs, seeing Y/N alone in the office. This is my chance. I have to do it now, before it's too late.

"Y/N? Are you alright?" I ask, walking into the room. She looks up at me from the floor, biting her lip.

Slowly, she nods her head. "Yeah, I-I'm fine. Just thinking..." She says, trailing off as she looks back at the ground. I walk over to her and place my hand on her shoulder.

"What were you thinking about? You can tell me, Y/N... I won't judge." I assure her and she looks back up at me. She sighs before opening her mouth to speak.

She closes her mouth again, scrunching her eyebrows together. She looks so adorable when she does that. It's why I love playing games with her, she always gets so confused.

"It's just..." She begins before stopping again. I wait patiently until she's ready to speak. "Simon asked me out." She blurts, looking to me with wide eyes, as if she didn't expect herself to say that.

I try to look surprised, even if I heard the entire conversation while eavesdropping on the staircase. "Oh. What did you say?" I ask, keeping my hand on her shoulder.

She shakes her head. "I told him that I liked someone else." I drop my hand off her shoulder, noticing a blush creeping onto her cheeks.

"Well, he must be a lucky guy if you turned down Simon for him." I state, deciding if I should really ask her or not.

"Vikk, I-"

I cut her off, making my decision. "Y/N, I was wondering. Would you like to go on a date with me?" I ask her, before suddenly stepping back. "I mean, I know the timing of this is bad because Simon just asked you, but I've been meaning to ask you think for a while, and-"

Y/N cuts me off by placing her lips onto mine. Oh my god, she's kissing me.

"Vikk, I'd love to."
