Y/N's POV

"I don't care!" You hear as you walk into the Sidemen house. You immediately recognize that the voice belongs to Simon, but why is he yelling so loudly?

You take off your shoes and quietly shut the door behind you. You begin to walk to the kitchen, where the boys normally hang out.

"I can't do this anymore!" You hear Simon shout from inside the kitchen. You hear someone else's voice follow and you turn around and head away from the kitchen.

You walk up the steps and stop outside of Josh's room. He has the door open, which means he's not recording or editing, but you still knock to be polite.

He turns his head to look at you, smiling and gesturing for you to come in. As you cross the threshold, more shouts come from downstairs.

"What's going on down there?" You ask Josh, taking a seat on his bed.

He shrugs his shoulders and turns his chair to face you. "Simon got into a fight with his girlfriend."

You slowly nod your head. "That bitch. She treats him awfully." You tell him, an opinion that all of the Sidemen have formed since they started dating.

"This could actually be it." Josh says, rubbing his eye. "They've been fighting for over an hour. He might break up with her."

As much as you don't want it to, your heart skips a beat, as if jumping for joy.

"Good for him. He deserves better." You tell Josh, leaning back against the wall.

Josh smirks and looks down at you. "You mean someone like you, Y/N?" He asks, making your face get heated. When you don't respond, he continues. "I've seen the way you look at him. You're like a puppy that longingly stares after food that its owner won't give it. You really care about him."

You cross your arms. "I don't. We're just friends, Josh." You try to convince him, but he doesn't seem to be taking the bait.

"Whatever, Y/N. I get lying to me, but you shouldn't lie to yourself."

You hear the front door slam, cutting Josh off. Quickly followed are heavy footsteps coming up the staircase fast. You just see a flash of Simon as he walks past Josh's room. Soon after, you hear him slam the door to his bedroom.

"Looks like he needs some time to cool off." You state, wrapping your arms around your legs.

Josh simply shakes his head. "What he needs is a distraction so that his mind doesn't keep thinking about her." After a couple seconds, Josh looks at you. "You should go after him."

You scoff at the idea. "And what? Become a rebound? Yeah, that seems like a fantastic idea." You say, voice laced with sarcasm.

"No, it actually is. You dont know what they were fighting about, do you?" He asks. When you don't respond, Josh continues. "She was accusing him of spend too much time with you and not enough time with her. He's told me, Y/N. He's told me that he likes you."

You sigh and stand up. "If you're wrong about this, I will personally come down here and kill you."

With those words, you leave Josh's room as he laughs. You turn and walk up the stairs to go to Simon's bedroom.

Gently, you knock on the door.

You're actually kind of surprised when the door opens quickly. Simon's standing on the other side, his face red from all of the yelling.
