Chapter 55

Skyler is in the kitchen. "You were long gone." She says, turning around. When she sees my face, her expression changes. "What happened?" she asks worried. "Ashley told me a story." She says. "About?" she asks. "Her past. Skyler, listen. I know you like Phil. But please be careful." I say. "Why should I be careful?" she asks. "Ashley had a difficult past with boys." I say and I start telling her the story.

"Oh my god." She says and sits down on the kitchen counter. "I'll be careful." She says. "I think it's best that we don't try to get them broken up." I say. "I'm sorry it have to be this way, but I don't want to be the cause of another broken heart for Ash." I say and she nods. "I know." She says and gives me a hug, she then walks out of the kitchen. I really want Phil and Skyler to be together, but I don't want Ashley having another broken heart.

POV Ashley

I told everything to Y/N and now I did the same to Phil. He's now pacing around, clenching his fists, he's angry. "Please. Sit down." I say, trying to calm him down. He stops pacing around.

"Why didn't you tell me?" he asks. "I was scared." I say. "Why?" he says. I don't like angry Phil. (I don't what Phil does when he becomes angry. Has he become angry actually?) "I didn't know how you would react." I say. "Can you please calm down." I say. "No. As your boyfriend I need to protect you. And I failed." He says, he's finally sitting down again. "You didn't, Phil." I reassure him. "Yes, I did. Your ex-boyfriend is still abusing you. And that's not protecting." He says, finally calming down.

"No Phil. You are protecting me. This is all my fault, I should have told you." I say. He takes my hand and I look him into his eyes. "Just go to the police." He says and I nod. "Okay, I will. Only if you come with me." I say and he nods. "Of course I go with you." He says and kisses me.

Your POV

I have no idea when my date with Dan is. He actually never told me the time. I have to text him and I ask. So that's what I do.

To Dan: When is the date?

Hopefully I will have some time to sleep for a bit, because I'm really tired. And I want to be awake when I have my date. I get a text message back from Dan.

From Dan: seven

It's currently five, so I can sleep until 6, then quickly eat something and then get ready. Okay, sounds doable. I go to my bedroom and go straight into bed, I don't care if I have my clothes on, I will change it later. I set up my alarm and drift off to sleep.

My alarm goes off and I get up, I go downstairs, Skyler is already there. "So when is your date?" she asks me. "Seven." I say and make myself a sandwich. Skyler makes one for herself. "So in about an hour." I say and Sky nods. "Do you know which movie?" she asks and I shake my head. "Dan doesn't told me, like he always does." I say taking a bit of my sandwich. "Typical." Skyler says.

When I'm done eating, I quickly take a shower. I dry my hair and brush it. I then look for some clothes. I decide to wear my T-shirt from the concert and some black skinny jeans, as for shoes I wear some black converse. Because it can be cold outside in the evening, I wear my black jean jacket.

I go back downstairs, into the living room to wait on the couch. In 10 minutes, maybe more, because Dan is always late, Dan will pick me up.

There's a knock on the door, I get up and open it. Dan is standing there. "Wow, you're right on time." I say. "I know." He says. I take my phone and quickly go upstairs to say goodbye at Skyler. I then walk back downstairs, to go outside with Dan. He calls out a cab and tells the driver to bring us to the movie theatre.

We arrive. "Which movie are we going to watch?" I ask him. "I thought it would be fun to watch 'Finding Dory'." He says. I look shocked at him. "Oh my god. I love it." I say and give him a kiss on the cheek. "I knew you would love it." Dan says, proud of himself. He's always proud if he is right about something.

He buys the ticket and the popcorn and then we go into the parlour (?) and sit somewhere in the back, in the middle row. It's a great view here, there are a lot of children with their parents and then there are also some teenagers. "A lot of people want to watch this movie." I say to Dan and he nods. "I know." He says and takes my hand. The lights go out and the movie start playing.

We walk outside the theatre. "I loved it." I say, smiling. Dan calls out a cab and tell the driver to bring us to my flat. "I did too." He says. "I also loved the fact that the children were so happy after the movie." I say. "I know." He says and for the entire way home it's quiet.

We arrive at my flat. "Can you please stay with me?" I ask and he nods. We go into my flat, the television is playing. We go to the lounge, Skyler is watching Friends. "Hi." I say. Skyler turns around. "Hey. Hi Dan." She says and turns back to the television. "Hi, Sky." Dan says. "Did you guys have fun?" she asks. "Yes." I say and walk out of the room, Dan following me. "Let's go to my room." I say and we walk upstairs.

"Phil told me about Ashley." Dan says. "That's good." I say and he gives me a kiss on the cheek. "You are really sweet to her. You know you helped her, don't you?" he asks. "That's not helping. That's being a great friend." I say. "They went to the police." He says. "It's because of you." He says. "Thanks." I say and we go to sleep.

I love the new single from 5sos for the movie Ghostbusters. I have listened to it a lot. It's clearly different than the other songs they made. For those who doesn't know how it's called, the name of the single is 'Girls Talk Boys'.
