Chapter 152
It's the eleventh of June, which means Dan's birthday. (Yay, even though it's not in real life.) I've planned a lot of things to do and the first thing, which is in the morning, is having a good breakfast. Eggs, bacon, coffee, chocolate and cereal. Dan was holding me by my waist when I woke up and I carefully got out of bed, he was luckily in a deep slumber, so I didn't wake him up like I always do. I'm done making breakfast and put it on the dining table. Then I walk into the bedroom to wake up Dan. "Dan, sweetheart, wake up." I tell him, he slightly moves. I poke his cheek. "Dan, I know you're awake." I say. He slowly opens his eyes. "Why are you waking me up so early?" He asks. "It's your birthday." I say. "Don't remind me I'm getting old." He says, I roll my eyes at him. (Hehe, I'm 8 years 5 months and two weeks younger than him. Why am I so exact?) "You're not getting old Dan." I say.
"Why are you dressed already?" He asks, sitting more up on the bed. "Because I made breakfast." I tell him. "So get out of bed now." I say and he nods, getting out of bed. Putting on a shirt. "You didn't actually had to put on a shirt." I say. "Sneaky." He says.

Dan and I had breakfast, which was delicious, if I do say so myself. "Why did I deserve a good wife?" Dan asks. "Breakfast was amazing, princess. I love you." He says. "I love you too Dan." I say. "Get dressed." I tell him. "Are you planning something?" He asks. "Maybe, maybe not." I say. "I'll get dressed." He says and I nod.
I don't have to wait on him for long, which isn't a surprise at all. We're not leaving just yet, because I'm waiting until Dan's mom's here. She told me she was going to ride here, because it would be better. "When are we leaving?" He asks. "Not yet." I tell him. "And I had to get dressed as fast as I could." He sighs. "No Dan, I only told you, you had to get dressed." I tell him.
Dan looks confused when we hear three knocks on the door. "Who's here now?" He asks. I get out of the lounge and let Dan's mom inside. "Hi." I say to her and hug her. "Dan has no idea you're here, he was confused when you knocked." I tell her. We walk into the lounge. "Hi mom." Dan says, he is confused why she's here.
"Well, I'm going to take Sean and then you guys can leave." His mom says, I guide her into Sean's nursery. I give her the bag I made with all the stuff she needs to take care of Sean and I see her leaving with Sean. And with I mean by that is that I see her leaving with Sean after Dan kisses Sean cheek and keeps telling him he's going to miss him.
"You planned a whole day out didn't you?" Dan asks and I nod. "What? You should do something great on your birthday." I tell him. "At least I'm spending my birthday with my wife who I love." He says and kisses my cheek. "Let's leave the flat." I say.

The first thing we are going to do is taking a stroll in the park, cause it's still early in the day. So I asked Dan to drive to the park. "The park?" He asks. "Yep, we're going to take a walk." I tell him. "Okay." He says. We get out of the car, he locks it and before we even enter the park, our fingers are already intertwined with each other.
"I don't deserve this." Dan says. "Yes you do Dan." I tell him. "I specifically choose you, because I wanted to grow old together with you. And we are. So you deserve all of this." I say. "Another reminder I'm getting old." He says. "You're not old." I say.
We walk together in silent for a bit, until I see an empty bench to sit on. As if Dan reads my mind, you sit on the bench together. My hand still in his, which has been put on his lap. "Will it be an exhausting day?" Dan asks suddenly. "No, not really." I tell him. "Okay." He says.
Let's take the train to memory lane. (Or how do they say that?)
We get up from the bench and walk a bit further, until the swings are in sight. Surprisingly, there are no children at all. Not that I care, I'm different now. I don't mind them anymore, because I have my own. "Just imagine Sean being older and taking a girl here." Dan says. "I hope it won't be just any girl." I say. "No, he'll be as smart as his father is." He says. "I still can't believe it's been years." I tell him. "I was happy when you asked me to be your girlfriend, that was a big deal to me. But now, I can't contain my happiness because I'm your wife." I say. "If you didn't asked me to take a stroll in the park, I would have asked you in the flat. So I'm happy you did, because now it's more memorable." Dan says. "I'm glad I did too." I say.

The next thing on the agenda is noting from memory lane, it's just grabbing lunch. Actually, it's sort of a memory. "I remember this lunch room." Dan says and I nod. "Would he still work here?" He asks. "Probably not, I think he might have been fired." I say and Dan chuckles at my comment. We go inside and sit at a table, in the corner, waiting for a waiter to take our order. "Oh look, he still works here." Dan says, I take a look at my left. Dan's right, he's still here. "He probably thinks. Wait, are they still together?" Dan asks. "That's true, it could have turned out differently." I say, trying not to bring back the bad memories.
Luckily, that waiter doesn't take our orders, but a middle-aged woman does instead. "Can I take your order please?" She asks. Dan and I order each something different, the waitress nods and walks away. "He hasn't forgot you." Dan says. "What do you mean?" I ask. "He keeps on looking at you." He says. "Don't be jealous, Dan." I say. "I'm not." He says. "I just hate it when a guy looks at my wife." Dan says. "I'll tell Phil." I say. "But he's different." Dan says and I chuckle.

The next memory in memory lane is the arcade Dan and I went in the beginning of our friendship. I didn't remember where it is, so I just told Dan that he had to go there. "The teddy is somewhere in a box in the house." I tell him. "We should find it and give it, not to Sean, but to our next child." He says and we walk in the arcade. "Nothing changed." I say. "We did." He says. "It's funny to be here. The first time we were here, we were only friends." He says. "I was really shy then." I say. "Can I tell you a secret." Dan says. "You have secrets?" I ask him shocked. "Kind of, remember we went out to eat something afterwards?" he asks and I nod. "Yep, I did." I say. "So I texted Phil then and he texted me back asking me if it was a date." He says. "Did you think it was a date?" I ask. "I kept thinking that I wanted it to be a real date." He says.
"Phil saw that we liked each other, but we didn't because we were too blind to see how the other really felt because we were busy with our own feelings." I tell him. "Just like it was with Phil and Sky." Dan says. "That's true." I say. "Well, let's play air hockey." Dan says. "You don't have to let me win." I say. "Never." He says.

We played for a long time, until some people complained we were playing it too long. Even though we changed, we still don't like human interaction, so we just went away. After playing for like an hour, the results of the games are in. And Dan won.
We are back home and we are going to watch a movie together, with popcorn, maltesers obviously and other snacks. Before Dan starts the movie, he turns to me. "Thank you, Y/N, for giving me this amazing day. You don't know how lucky I'm to be your husband." He says and kisses me. "The whole world should know." He says. "I love you too Dan." I say. He presses play and I cuddle into him.
So that's how you spend Dan's birthday together with him. It would have been weird if it was without him, it's his birthday. You could have given him more, but you can't forget the bet.
I had an awkward moment today. So it was the end of the day and I was going back home from school. When I walked on the playground, I passed a guy, who I previously had a crush on. I accidentally looked his way, I thought he saw me, I think he did, so I just freaked out inside and didn't know where to look, so I looked on the ground. That was stupid of me, so it was really awkward. Being in the same school of your old crush is so not fun. And he's younger too. But now, I have a crush who's older and better. And I know more about him, even though he doesn't know me at all.
So now I'm going to put my focus back on my biology. I really want to know how DNA works...
