Chapter 124

Chapter 124

"We have to find the perfect way to tell him." Skyler says, so we think for a while. I don't want to just casually tell him that we are expecting a child, that's just too lame. "I know. We can put a little scavenger hunt in the flat." Skyler suggest. "Wouldn't that be suspicious. Why would I just give him a scavenger hunt out of nowhere?" I tell her. "You can say it's for a video or something, that you want to do something special." She says, that could work. I always come up with weird things to do on my channel, like some challenges whilst playing a game. "Scavenger hunt it is." I tell her.

"How long do we have." Skyler asks. "2 hours." I tell her, looking at my phone, it's currently 11. "First we have to get to the store. I have something in my mind that involves balloons." She says and I nod.

We arrive at the supermarket. I don't feel so sick anymore, but it will come back later on, that's for sure. "Here are the balloons." Skyler says, going to the party section. (Is there a party section in a store?) "I want pastel colours." She says and takes a bag with different pastel coloured balloons, there are blue ones, pink ones and yellow ones.

"Need something else?" I ask her. "Index cards, so we can write the clues on." She tells me and I nod, we now go to the office supplies section. "White ones without lines." She says and takes a pack of cards.

We go to the cash desk to pay. When we walk out of the store, we call out a cab and go inside it to head home.

We came up with sentences which can lead Dan to the right place, that we have written down on index cards. We looked for certain places where we could lead him all around the flat. I take out my camera, waiting until Dan is coming back home, which shouldn't take long.

We then hear a door opening. "I'm back home." Dan says, I walk up to him and kiss him, Phil has come with him. Skyler comes out of the lounge. "Hi Dan." She says and kisses Phil. "Let's go back home." She tells him and he nods. We say our goodbyes to them, before they leave the flat, closing the door.

"I need your help for a video." I tell Dan. "What can I do?" He asks, taking off his coat and putting it on the hanger. "I thought it would be fun to set up a scavenger hunt. And film how quick you can solve it." I say, hopefully this plan will work. "Of course." He says and kisses me. "I make an intro after you did the hunt." I tell him and he nods, I don't have to make an intro actually.

"Here is your first clue." I tell him and give him the first index card. "Makes food tastier." He says. "What can make food tastier than it already is?" He asks to himself. "Easy, spices." He says and I follow him into the kitchen, he opens up the cabinet with the spices in, where the next clue is in too.

He take out the index card. "We sing where you do your business." He says, laughing. (This is such a lame one, but at the same time I love it. It's so funny! XD) "I know it's stupid." I tell him. "No, I like it." He says. "This is a hard one." He says, thinking for a while. "I know, the toilet." He says an we go downstairs into the toilet. "That's actually a good clue, cause we do our business in the toilet (XD) whilst we look at the poster of one direction." He says and I nod.

"It's really soft to lay on and it's a great place to think." He reads out the next clue. (I find this a good one actually. We all know which place that is.) I think he's going to get this one easily. "That's so easy. The 'existential crisis hallway"." He says, walking there and taking the card. It actually has been a while since he had one, maybe he has them less because of me, I don't know.

"In normal homes it would be warm, but here it isn't." He says. That's not an easy one, that's for sure. After he thinks for a long time, he finally got it. "Fire place." He says and we walk into the lounge. I am getting more and more nervous now, it's almost time to tell them the news.

The next one is a piece of cake. (It's not actually a piece of cake. Now I want cake. Preferable a chocolate cake.) "I am black and white, who loves melodies." He says. "Couldn't you be a bit more creative." He says. "We ran out of ideas a bit." I tell him. We go into the bedroom and he takes the card from our piano.

"That's the last one." I tell him. "I wouldn't say I'm girly, but I am the most girly room out of all rooms." He reads out. "That's your office." He says and I nod, which is not going to be my office anymore in nine months. He opens the door and is taken aback from the balloons. "The price is in one of these balloons." I tell him. I put down my camera on a tripod, still filming what's happening. I actually can use this video for when we are going to tell the fans. He begins popping every balloon, making sure that I hold my hands against my ears. After popping at least five of them, he finally finds the index card.

"This is my price. A card with some text one." He says. "Just read what's on it." I tell him. "A lot of things will change. Not only in this home of ours, but also in the way we live. From now on, we have to be there for each other even more even though it will be rough sometimes. And we now that we get through it, because all that we will see is the end of it. Our free time will be taken away, but it's worth it." He reads out loud. "Open this." I say, holding a little box. "Okay." He says, opening the box. He stays focused on the test, but then he looks at me in shock. "I'm pregnant." I tell him, then putting the box back down on the desk.

He instantly pulls me into a hug. "This is great." He says, kissing my cheek and then letting go. "I'm going to be a dad." He says and I nod, smiling at him, it makes me happy to see him getting excited over this. He puts his hand lightly on my stomach and kisses my cheek again. We are going to be amazing parents.

I know that a scavenger hunt is a bit lame, but I just couldn't find something more creative. Now a serious question. Do you think Dan is going to be a great father?
