He stared at me, interest sparked in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared and he looked away. In his hand was a lighter, he flicked it on and off, watching the flame with the interest that was once on me. A girl walked over to him in a tight Mimi dress, swaying her hips. She placed her hand on his shoulder, but he didn't look up, shrugging her hand off him.

His lips moved but I couldn't make out what he was saying. But the girls face fell and she walked away, her shoulders slouched and her face masked with disappointment. She sat down at a table with the other girls who I think are lesbians and sulked. Looking away from her, I met Liam's eyes again, he watched me intently until I stopped walking in front of him. He didn't speak, he just watched.

I cleared my throat. "Uh, hey, I'm Kade. You know from the bar." I said trying to jog his memory.

"And?" His tone was harsh and bored, it flattered my confidence.

"I-uh, I like your tattoos, do any of them stand for something?" I continued to try and talk to him. He interested me, pulled on my thoughts. His intense gaze made my heart flutter and the air around me hot. Who was this boy and why was he doing this to me?

He didn't respond, his brows drew together in a confused look, but that's all I got.

"Okay. This parties pretty cool, I love the music. Do you like Pierce The Veil?" I pressed on, why didn't he respond - did he think I was annoying? God, I hope he didn't.

He sighed and straightened up a little. "What is it exactly do you want?" He asked in the same tone he'd used before. He had a British accent, it was thick but cute at the same time. Even though his words were harsh, the sound of his voice seemed to soothe me.

"Friends," I gave a nervous laugh and smile. "I was hoping that maybe you and I could be friends."

"I have enough friends, I don't need another." With that he turned and looked away, rolling the lighter on his palm.

"Oh. Okay," I mumbled and walked away, I turned to look over my shoulder catching him watching me, but when our eyes met he turned away.

Inside the music was louder, a different song was playing inside. Outside they were playing a song by a group I wasn't familiar with, but inside a 'The End' by Black Veil Brides blasted. I weaved through the crowd of bodies, into a kitchen space. Several coolers sat on the tables, and a few juice-kegs were also on the tables. I walked over to an open one and grabbed a plastic cup from the stack and poured some liquid in my cup.

The liquid smelled weird, but I rose it to my lips anyway and took a sip. It was warm as it slipped between my lips but quickly started burning when it reached my throat. I coughed, banging my fist against my chest, trying to get rid of the heartburn I was feeling. The keg I'd just taken a drink from had sloppy writing on it, I had to squint to make them out and when I did, I dropped my cup on the counter. I'd just drank liquor, a drink that I'd promised my parents I wouldn't drink on college, but here I was drinking it.

"I suppose you've never had liquor before." A voice said startling me. A cute boy with dark brown eyes and dirty blonde hair reached over and grabbed my cup, chugging down the drink. "After a while it isn't as bad, it tastes quite good actually." He went to pour more.

I scrunched up my nose in disgust. "I can't believe that, sorry." I replied smiling.

He laughed. "You have to try it to find out, you probably won't." His tone was playful but I also heard the edge of challenge being put down.

Shaking my head I laughed. "Your right, I won't. Maybe another time-I'm Kade by the way." I said holding out my hand.

"Deuce." He replied shaking my hand. "I haven't seen you around before, are you new?"
