Reader POV
"Well I guess..." I said.
"Knew it" Astrid said.
"Don't tell him..."
"I won't trust me"
Hiccup then finished screaming at the twins and pulled us all out into the plaza area.
"Ok gang back to work" Hiccup said "(y/n) can you help me with the weapons?"
"Sure"
We were carrying weapons to the armoury talking about the randomest things when the topic of swimming came up.
"So how far can you swim?" Hiccup asked.
"I once went across the world in a week" I said.
"Holy mother of Thor that's awesome"
"You can do it too, you just have to strengthen your breath hold, now that your a merman, you can hold your breath for 2 hours at a time, but with training that can go to 10"
"Holy crap!"
"You can also swim at speeds as fast as a speed stinger, its called torpedoing"
"Geez we have to go swimming tonight when no ones around"
"Definitely"
Hiccup set down his pile of weapons and as he did he jerked back his hand.
"Ah! Thats hot!"
My face lit up.
I grabbed his hand and repeated the action he did before, making all the wet patches from the rain dry up.
"Your power! Its heat!" I said.
"What does that do?"
"You can boil things, steam dry things, create fire and lightning"
"AWESOME!"
We made our way out of the armoury and started our trek back to get the next load.
"(Y/n)-WOAH!" That was Astrid.
SPLASH!
And that was the twins getting me soaked...again.
I looked at Hiccup then at the water.
I sprinted off and toward the beach where I ran into the water and dived under a wave, transforming mid way.
Hiccups POV.
Those twins are going to get, they flew off laughing, idiots.
"What was that?" Astrid said.
Oh shit she saw.
"Umm..."
Oh no, I just stepped in the puddle of water.
Man being a merman is hard.
"I'll go see..."
I turned and ran, repeating the same thing (y/n) did.
I saw her hiding behind a coral bed, her (h/c) hair flowing around her and her beautiful tail shining in the sun.
I swam up to her and gestured towards the moonpool.
She smiled and we sped towards the cave where magic happens, and her back up home.
We glided though the entrance and broke to the surface in the pool.
"I beat you" I said.
"No way!" She said in that cute sassy tone she does.
Wait what?
"So how do you like being a merman?"
"I love it! Its so much fun"
She rested her head in her hands.
"I hope that dive wasn't to suspicious"
"I hope not"
Astrids POV.
What just happened?
The twins splashed her and she ran? And so did Hiccup, maybe I should watch them for a while...
