Being the heir of the Y/L/N Company was never easy. Since your father is an excellent leader, people expect more from you. They think that if your father mentors you, you'd become as great as he is--or surpass him. But you know you'll never be good enough. You're only eighteen who lacks knowledge about business. Since your birth, you were destined to inherit the company. That wasn't your dream at all. You had your own dream to pursue but you must do what you have to do to please your parents, right?

Even if it feels wrong.

Your family is well-known around the world for the excellency of the company your father runs. Since you're rich and powerful, your family receives threats. You could say it's every day's dessert. Of course, that includes you. In fact, you've received more threats when the world found out you were the heir.

You hated being threatened. Not because people hate you but because your parents are overprotective of you. You can't leave the mansion as you please. You can't hang out with your friends. You can't even go to the garden without having someone to follow you.

And that someone was James Barnes.

They say he's the best butler your parents could ever hire. He served his country for a long time. He was a sergeant. He was fast and strong, almost like an assassin. And he was hired to be your personal butler. Not that you're complaining. It's cool to have your own butler. Plus, he's not the very uptight type of a butler--unlike the last one.

Your last butler wouldn't allow you to hang out with your friends not unless they do a background check, which was absurd. And, he's strict. Very.

But James, he wasn't anything like him at all. Well, sure he follows you around and tends to get protective over you but you were fine with that. A year later, he's still your butler and you became friends with him. Best friends even.

You could trust James with all your secrets and he wouldn't tell your parents. When you're alone with him, he always showed a side of him that you've never seen when there are people around. He had told you to call him "Bucky" when it's just the two of you. He was a goofball and a dork--in the most adorable way possible. He was also quite the flirt. He admitted that he's a lady's man. But even with that, James Barnes has a golden heart. He told you stories of his best friend, Steve Rogers, how he protected the "punk" (that's what he calls him) from bullies because he was a thin and tiny man, and how he took care of him when he had no one else but James.

It got to the point where you've started developing feelings for him. You tried supressing it but it wouldn't go away. When he's around (meaning, all the time), your heart would start pounding. It feels like a silly crush but it was so much stronger. So strong that maybe it was love.

You knew better than to fall in love with your butler but you couldn't help it. He was more like a grunge prince rather than a butler, to be honest.

In the middle of garden, there was a table and chair where you would sometimes drink tea at. You were there with Bucky, who was sitting across you. Your chin was resting on your palm while you stare at the rose bush from a distance. You had your headphones on you, listening to (song).

"Today's a slow day, huh?"

You turn your gaze at him and slid down your headphones. "Did you say something?" you asked.

"I said today's a slow day," he said, chuckling.

"Yes, well... Weekends are always slow for me. I can't even go out and have fun," you sighed.

"Do you want to go out with me?" Bucky asked.

Your eyes widen upon hearing those words. Bucky seemed to realize what he just said and blushes. "I-I meant, go outside, l-like the mall, a-and have fun. W-With me, of course. Your parents wouldn't allow you to go out there without me," he stuttered.

You let out a somewhat relief sigh and chuckles. "Nah. Maybe I'll pass time by staring at the sky. Besides, it's already too late to go out. It's getting dark," you said.

"Tomorrow perhaps?"

"Maybe," you replied, putting back your headphones and stared at the starry sky.

Bucky smiles and watched you as you gaze at the beautiful stars above you with a smile on your lips.
