"I'm engineering, she's biochem"
Lydia Martin and Leo Fitz; FitzMartin.
Unbreakable duo since they left the academy together and
officially joining S.H.I.E.L.D. They faced everything together:
becoming agents, their very first missions, joining a team,
watching each other nearly die, saving each other at the last minute,
saving the world in their labs time and time again...
They were each other's best friends and while they had each other,
they didn't need anyone else. But then the friendship and bond
that they share began to change- evolve- into something more.
The friendly 'I-just-saved-your-life-again' hugs lasted a little longer,
the glances of amusement when the team pronounced
something wrong turned into more regular stares of adoration,
the protectiveness of each other turned into possessiveness and
watching each other nearly die got even more heartbreaking.
But then all of that changed because of one name;
the Winter Soldier.
