Where was he now? Yes he was still in her heart but he'd left a bigger whole when he went six feet under....
*FLASHBACK*
"Where was he?" Hermione thought to herself. She, Ron and Harry had just arrived back at the school, well it could hardly still be called a school any longer, more like a torture house. She scanned the crowd surrounding them for Fred, desperately wanting to see him. But she had forgot...he wasn't here anymore. If she died tonight she may not be able to talk to him again...

"Where is she?" He asked himself as they walked through the secret passage, jumping down into the now empty room. He heard the marching of feet above him and felt his blood boil
"You alright mate?" said George and Fred simply nodded not trusting his voice. Closer and closer that got to the voices in the great hall. Closer and closer to the girl he loved...

All those in the great hall felt as though they had lost someone they loved, their soul taken away and left them with an empty shell. The flames returned to their golden glow, and the Slytherins were marched out of the hall after Pansy Parkinson's remark. Hermione ran to Fred wrapping her arms tightly around him
"I missed you" she whispered
"I missed you more..." he replied cheesily. She looked at him carefully, missing every feature. She'd missed him so much over the the months she had been away. He'd missed her cheeky smile when she wanted something, or when she would let her lighter side out when they were together but she could still make him do whatever she said. She missed his silly little jokes, that although were not funny, never failed to make her giggle, his ocean blue eyes that were unlike any other. They missed each other. There were no words to describe the way they had felt, so desperately wanting to speak to one another, touch them, kiss them, love them
"We have to go..." Said George pulling Fred away. Before he and his brother had left Hermione heard his beautiful voice a final time "I love you Hermione Granger!" he called out and she blushed as everyone turned to her.
*END OF FLASHBACK*
