--Mark's POV--

I walked into work with a great confidence. I was going to solve this case.
"Hey Dante!" I said enthusiastically. "What's up Mark?" She replied with a smile.

"Nothing much. Oh! Right. Dante, can you please get me the evidence for the Septiceye case?" Dante stood up and said,
"Sure thing! Just follow me. It's right over here." She lead me down the hallway, past the offices, and opened a door labeled:

CASE FILES
EMPLOYEES ONLY

We walked into the room and it was HUGE. There was box upon box of case files, all labeled in alphabetical order. She led me down a few halls, twisting and turning through them.

"Ok! We should be in the right area." She skimmed through the rows of boxes searching for the right one. "Septiceye, Septiceye, Septic- Oh! Here we are! Septiceye." She pulled out the box and handed it to me. It was surprisingly light, compared to the other case boxes she had handed to me many times before.

"Thanks Dante! You're the best!" She blushed.
"No problem Mark!" We started walking back through the maze of twists and turns with the box in my hands. We walked our separate ways,

( A/N Best song ever)

And went back to our jobs. I walked to my office and sat down with the box in my lap. I set it on the side of my desk and opened it. Nearly half of it was filled with folded up pieces of paper, which I assumed were the notes. They were labeled with numbers. I pulled mine out and saw it wasn't labeled.

"I guess they were labeled by us." I said to myself. *Sigh* "Let's figure this out." I opened up the note labeled 1 and saw why nobody could de-code it. It was just a bunch of random letters put together:

Krz'v lw jrlqj Pdun?

"You've gotta be kidding me." I turned the note over and it was blank. I turned it back and started at the gibberish letters, thinking what language it could be.

"Google Translate it is." I looked up and sat the note down in front of me. I turned on my computer and opened up Google Translate. I typed in the letters and got zero results.

"How is that possible? It has to mean something! It can't just not be a language. Unless he's just trying to throw us off. I looked at the bottom of the note and it was in English. It said:

Sincerely,
Septiceye

I looked at the top of the note and it said:

To Mark

"How is this possible?" I typed in foreign languages into Google, hoping for a result.

/\Time Skip/\

40 pages on Google later, (don't even)
I finally thought I found something.
"Huh. Ceaser Cipher? What language is that?" I clicked the link.

"The Caesar cipher is one of the earliest known and simplest ciphers. It is a type of substitution cipher in which each letter in the plaintext is 'shifted' a certain number of places down the alphabet. For example, with a shift of 1, A would be replaced by B, B would become C, and so on. The method is named after Julius Caesar, who apparently used it to communicate with his generals."

"This may actually be it!" I exclaimed with excitement. I scrolled down further and saw an Encrypt/Decrypt translator. Let's give this a shot. I typed the gibberish in and finally got a result.

Krz'v lw jrlqj Pdun?

How's it going Mark?
