Her, too
Chapter Twenty Three
December 19, 2014
Dazed and confused. Those were the two things that Bey could use to describe how she was feeling right now. Her daughter talked her the entire way home, but Bey didn't listen. She couldn't listen. It had been that way since the day after Shawn got back.
Bey pulled into their driveway and got out. She undid Natalia from her car seat and watched the little girl walk to the door. Being a mother wasn't like devouring a slice of cake, and Bey was realizing that everyday. Everyday posed a newfound challenge, and took each and everyone of them. She had a lot to learn, and she was a bit happy that Naomie was there with an answer to everything.
Tina was also very helpful. She was there practically everyday since she moved to New York a week ago. Mathew was the one that gave her more space, but Tina just knew that a new mother would need as much help as possible. Who was Bey to turn down help? Whenever anyone was at her house, she took that time to complete work.
Once the door was open, Tally flew inside. She removed her coat and took it to her room. They were having Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Bey didn't feel like cooking a thing, at least for right now. She looked down at the letter of resignation that she had typed up. Truthfully, she was thinking about just quitting.
"Tally!" She called out after getting Natalia's food prepared. She was going to have the chicken nuggets and waffle fries. Tally practically ran into the kitchen. She climbed into her designated chair and sat down.
"Juice, Mommy!"
"Not now," Bey told her softly before digging back into the bag. Their meals were identical, except Bey had more. Bey grabbed her food and sat down next to Natalia.
"You wanna watch a movie later with Shawny?" It was what Natalia had opted to call Shawn. Bey thought it was cute. A part of her didn't know if she was doing the right thing about bringing Shawn around Natalia right now, but it was too late.
Natalia didn't call him anything other than his name, and she liked that. It was the same relationship that she had with Kim. As long as Shawn cooperated during the tea parties, he was fine.
"Yes," she said before reaching over and taking one of Bey's nuggets.
"Heyyy! That was mine!" Bey playfully whined.
Natalia held the chicken nugget up to Bey's mouth. Bey opened her mouth, allowing the two year old to feed her.
"Mmm," Bey moaned in happiness. "You want me to feed you like a little baby?"
"Yes."
"But you're not a baby."
"Yeah huh!"
Bey smiled. "No you're not. You're a big girl. You go to the potty. You sleep in your bed, and you eat all your food. You don't wanna be a baby."
Natalia tilted her head and simply went back to eating her food. The finished just as the doorbell rang. Bey knew that it was none other than Tina Beyince. Hand in hand, they went to the door to open it. Tina stood there looking like someone Bey's age. For her age, Tina aged gracefully. Bey was praying for that.
"Hey," Tina greeted, receiving the greeting back from Beyoncé.
"Hey, Gwammy!" Natalia greeted in her small voice.
Tina bent down and picked her up. "Hey baby. How are you?" She asked while placing a hand on Natalia's stomach.
"You seem full. You eat?"
