Chapter Twenty One

Baekhyun was awaken when he felt fingers running through his hair making him feel sleepy again. With half-lidded eyes, he opened it and was welcomed with Sehun's face just an inch closer to him.

"Did I wake you up?" Baekhyun shakes his head. "Sorry if I disturbed your sleep. I just can't stop myself from touching your hair. It's so silky."

"Sehun, I thought you're mad at me? Why does your actions contradicts what you have said?"

"Well. . ." He scratched the back of his nape. "I guess I'm being unfair for not hearing your explanations. Sorry if I acted like an asshole again."

Baekhyun warmly smiled. "It's nothing. I'm glad we're finally in good terms and I'm sorry if I can't return your feelings back."

Sehun nodded. "May I know why?"

"Uhm. . ." Baekhyun averted his gaze. "I just don't want to be involved in a relationship," liar, Baekhyun. Liar.

"Is that so? I thought you have someone special there," Sehun pointed on Baekhyun's chest. "Didn't I creeped you out when I confessed my feelings?"

"Kind of because I really didn't expected that it will be me the one you'll gonna like. I mean, why me of all people out there?"

"Didn't we talked about this matter before?"

"Yes."

"I think even if Chanyeol hyung is on my feet, he'll reason out the same thing. You're likable and lovable, Baekhyun," Baekhyun's chest throbbed at the sudden mention of Chanyeol's name. Pain, hurt, sadness, and longing hit him like a truck but he still acted natural for Sehun not to notice the changes on his mood.

"You think so?" Sehun nods.

"It's a shame I don't stand a chance to make you feel you deserve all the happiness in this world," Sehun covered his eyes since it's starting to water again." Ughh. It's my first heart break, don't you know it?"

"Really?" Baekhyun chuckled. "You're Park Sehun. You get everything you want. By hook or by crook."

"But I can't have you so what's the catch?" Baekhyun's expression turned serious. "I just hope that if ever you'll fall in love, that guy will give you happiness not pain. I'm willing to wreck his face the moment I heard he cheated or hurts you!" Oh dear, Sehun. How will you react the moment you will learn that your brother is already hurting the one you love a big time.

"And so I hope you'll find the right one for you who can reciprocate your feelings," Baekhyun remembered Luhan. "Hey, thoughts about Luhan?"

"Luhan?"

"Yeah. The doe-eyed friend we have. What are your thoughts about him?" Baekhyun cheekily smiled, trying to get a hunch if Luhan have a chance for his best friend.

"He's. . . Uhm, cool? But not enough for me to like him," Sehun shrugged. "Why d'you asked?"

Baekhyun's expression crumpled. "Luhan is a good guy! Luhan is beautiful! Luhan is perfect!" He continuously said while lightly punching Sehun's chest. He suddenly felt frustrated with Sehun's answer.

"I never mentioned about Luhan hyung being imperfect, a bad guy, nor an ugly person. It's just that, I don't want someone to be a rebound. I know I'm not an expert when it comes to love but I don't want to hurt someone, I'd rather be hurt that be the one causing pain," he smiled sadly. "Anyways. . ." He pinched Baekhyun's cheeks. "What do you want for breakfast?"

"You know how to cook?" Baekhyun blinked couple of times in which Sehun nodded. "How come?"

"I learned cooking simple dishes being away from the mansion for a whole week. I managed to apply for a decent job just to have financial support," Sehun took his wallet from the bedside table. "I'm no longer using the cards Chanyeol hyung gave to me."
