~ I'll be home soon ~

  "Hey cutie," Calvin's voice echoed from your cell phone.

"Hey." You smiled. You loved his smooth tone.

"I'll be home soon, so unlock the door before you go to bed. Okay?"

"Okay. It feels like I haven't seen you in forever. Did you have fun in Seattle?"

"It was great, but I miss you. I'll see you soon babe."

"I love you."

"I love you too, bye."

You unlocked the front door before going up to your bedroom and falling asleep. All of the sudden your eyes slowly opened and looked at the glowing red numbers on the alarm clock. 2:13 AM. You heard shuffling in the room, but couldn't make out anything in the darkness. A shadow approached the bed and you quickly turned on your lamp. Calvin squinted at the sudden light and smiled.

"Sorry if I woke you," he said. Calvin took off his shirt and climbed into the bed with you. He wrapped his arms around your waist and kissed your forehead before turning off the lamp. 

"It's okay. I'm just glad you're home safe." You ran your fingers through his hair and kissed his soft lips goodnight. You both fell asleep cuddling.
