You Were Here

You were here

and you took away

All of my fears

You took my arm

and kissed all of my scars

"They're beautiful"

you whispered

All of my storm clouds

went away

The sun was out

and kids came outside

to draw chalk

But soon

their pictures were washed away

with my storm-

The storm you caused

as my heart slows-

Dies

I have no heart

and so do you

because you lied

and I said goodbye

Now

there's nothing left

but my stone heart

and the lies you put inside my head
