People come and go
Hear the noise
See the poise
of vendors
of customers
of tourists on vacation,
trying to bargain
and relying on quality products
See the colors of gold and green
of things seemingly clean
and comfort in
comfort food being sold
Bargain prices
but never enough
Appreciation of artistry or craftsmanship,
whenever one finds a unique item
to take back home
and show to all
a piece of Nawlins
Though material things cannot compare
to the experience had
where people come and go
and hear the noises
of footsteps, music, greetings,
and bargaining prices-
purchasing a memento
to take back home
and decorate walls
with a piece of Nawlins
