Wondering winds
that blow
a devastation
no heart wishes to know
of overflowing sensation
of eradication of homes
A devastation
no place to go
only Crosses and Xs
decorate and mirror
a shattered home
But broken spirits
do not take hold,
for life continues
even when hopelessness
may unfold
And cries are answered
by those that care to hear
in a moment when there is only fear
So, tear not hearts
that lie exposed
Community's strong arms envelop
those without homes
in aim to mend
what's been broken
and build wings of steel
to guard what was
once shattered here
