Beautiful.

Now, for the tip:

When you're writing and there's a big event coming in the story and everyone knows about, most writers use the Syndrome of Mind Blanks. Let me set an example for you:

Star's mother seemed nervous. She turned her head from side to side while she sat on the throne, like as if checking for invisible enemies. Star sat on the small silver throne next to her.

"Is everything alright, mother?"

"Yes, just nervous about the coronation, all your training was to prepare you for this."

"Why?"

"Well, as you know, if the people don't like you they will throw you into the dungeons and you will spend the rest of your life there."

"Ah, right. Now I remember."

WHAT. WAS. THAT.

*Deep breath*

First of all, it's the girls CORONATION. If she spent her ENTIRE LIFE training for that moment, HOW IN THE WORLD DID SHE NOT REMEMBER WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN AND WHAT WAS ON LINE THERE??

Also, 'You'll probably be thrown into the dungeons for the rest of your life.' 'Ah, now I remember.' YOU ARE GETTING THROWN INTO PRISON. SHOW SOME EMOTION, PLEASE. Well, that's another tip for another time.

M'Tip:

Just try to leave little clues here and there, and give short details to explain the event. Don't explain it all at once, and leave some things in mystery for the event. Here :

Star stared at the silver mirror. She took a deep breath, but the tight ceremonial dress stopped her. It was enourmous, and the weight was almost as heavy as Star's burden. She could remember all the training that went on in that room, all for that day. Everything was on the line... Her life, and the Astrinian crown.

I could go on for years, but don't get me started on a new book. You see my point? I hope you do. Coffee break.

Love,
