『Chapter Four』

[Your POV]

It took a while to get Mey-Rin to leave my room, it's not that I don't like her... it's just she likes Sebastian so much. She never stops talking about him...it makes me nervous...oh damn! Apparently, nerves start my morphing too. I walked over to the mirror in my room, a stupid thing, I must learn to control it. I thought I may as well take a bath to at least try to relax...

[Twenty Minutes Later]

I let out a long sigh as I stepped out of the tub. My tail had gone but the ears were still there. I stood in front of my mirror wrapped in a towel whilst drying my hair and ears with another there was a knock at my door. I stopped I wasn't ready for people to find out about me yet the only people in the house that knew were Ciel and Sebastian. "Uhm who is it?" I called silently wishing it was Sebastian. "It's Finny." Called the blonde. "May I come in? I brought you a room warming present." I smiled to myself. How sweet was that! "Ha-ha okay Finny, just a second." I called again as I wrapped the second towel around my head to hide my ears.

I cracked the door a little and poked my head out, so I could see him. He looked a little shocked to see me wearing nothing but a towel. I was a little surprised he didn't question it. He grinned and held up a beautiful porcelain vase with a dozen white roses in it. I beamed at him and crept out from behind the door to accept the vase. "Oh, Finny thank you so much. They are beautiful, I adore white roses." I put my hand on his shoulder and kissed him on the cheek as a thank you as he got another stupid grin on his face.

"May I come in?" He asked eagerly. "Oh well Finny I don't know about that, I have no clothes on." I said awkwardly. "Meh, yeah I can see that, please," he smiled his adorable smile again, "I want to get to know you." I couldn't say no. I sighed deeply and couldn't help but smile. "Come in, take a seat." I put the vase on my bedside table. "Can you just give me a minute to get changed?" "Of course, I will." I thanked him and went to the bathroom with my green dress with the special hole for my tail... oh my gosh, he made it, Sebastian made me a dress. I had to sit down, I felt dizzy it was a gift from him. It made the dress feel so special, I have never had a present before.

I have had eighteen birthdays and eighteen Christmases I knew that people were supposed to get presents but I never had one. I just realized that the flowers and vase Finny gave me were presented too. I smiled I was so happy, my head tingled, and I knew the ears had disappeared. I quickly put on the dress and started to work on my hair there was another knock on my door. "Finny can you get that?" I called to him. "Oh yeah sure." I heard some murmuring and then something smashed.

I ran out of the bathroom to see Baldroy and Finny looking guilty and kneeling to pick up the flowers Finny had given me and some pancakes from a pile of broken porcelain. Even my new vase was broken. I stood wide-eyed, but I wasn't upset I knelt next to them and gave them both hugs. "It's the thought that count Finny the flowers were beautiful and don't worry I can get the vase fixed. Baldroy those pancakes look fantastic did you really make them yourself?" They both smiled and said sorry.

Apparently, when Baldroy saw Finny in my room he got mad and smashed Finny's vase and then Finny retaliated by throwing Baldroy's pancakes on the floor. Of course, they instantly felt bad for breaking each other's gifts to me. They both left, and they seemed quite happy when they left, I guess I cheered them up with my hugs. It felt nice here, I was comfortable. I hadn't even realized how late it was and just like every night my tail appeared, and the ears came too I put on my baggy pajamas (which incidentally also had a gap for my tail).

I smiled and fell into a sleep that was full of dreams with my new friends even the young master had a feature...then there was the dream about Sebastian. It wasn't all that intimate I was crying, and he came into my room kissed me on the head, and hugged me while stroking my ears until I fell asleep, that was when I woke up.

Then... it got weird Sebastian was asleep in a chair by my bed there was a pot of tea on the floor and two cups on a beautiful silver tray, the tea was cold. He must have been sat there for a while, my vase was fixed, and the flowers were back inside the vase and a single red rose was in the middle of the white ones. He must have also made some more pancakes for me, they tasted amazing even if they were cold. It was still night the clock read three am, I didn't know if I could go back to sleep or not.

I lay back down though and just stared at Sebastian memorizing his breathing patterns, the way his raven black hair glinted in the moonlight, and the way he always has a slight smile on his face like he was having a good dream, I stared a stared until he woke up about an hour later, I pretended to be asleep to see what he would do. It sounded like he just sat there for a moment before getting up and taking what sounded like the silver tray to the door. When he opened my door, he paused before saying "good morning little kitten" then the door shut behind him. "I think I'm in love." I finally admitted just to myself.

[Sebastian's POV]

I made the young master go to bed a little early, I told him it was because I needed to make preparations for Lady Elizabeth's visit tomorrow afternoon. It wasn't a lie, I did need to prepare. But for one hell of a butler, it didn't take too long. Afterward, I made some more Earl Gray since Miss. (Y/N) seemed to enjoy it earlier. She must have been thirsty after her chess match...okay I wanted to see her, talk to her and get to know her.

I needed her to trust me, so I could train her in shifting yeah that was it, that was all. That's what I kept saying even when I saw Baldroy and Finny leave her room with big grins on their faces. I asked them what happened, they told me about the broken vase which Finny had in a dustpan and also Baldroy told me about his pancakes.

Instantly I took the dustpan from Finny and went back to repair the vase and pick a red rose from the large vase in the drawing-room. The vase looked as good as new and suited the role perfectly I'm sure she would love that it was fixed Finny did pick out a nice vase...it was the small antique from by the front door. I remade Baldroy's pancakes but with my own special recipe... my recipe was already open in the kitchen Baldroy must have used it too. But I didn't mind it was quite good to be able to help her.

I was disappointed when I knocked, and she didn't answer. I left it a moment before knocking again. I was worried, why wouldn't she answer? It wasn't polite to go into a lady's room without permission, but I was worried she may be hurt and the young master would okay I was just plain worried. I walked in cautiously and was relieved to see she was just asleep. She had her ears and tailback, oh she looked adorable.

I saw some white roses in a bucket of water I decided to arrange them in a halo around the single red one I had got for her. I put the silver tray down on the floor along with the pancakes. I picked up her maid outfit and cut a small hole in the back that couldn't be seen, just so she would be comfortable if she started to shift before I could tutor her. For a while, I just looked at her, but when she started to whimper I had to lean over her and try to comfort her I stroked her ear for a short time, and eventually, I drifted off.

When I woke up, Miss. (Y/N) was pretending to be asleep. She had sipped her tea and eaten her pancakes and smelled her flowers, her scent lingered on them. It was beautiful... she was beautiful. I had an awful feeling I think I was falling in lo-. No, no I couldn't finish that sentence. I got up picked up the tray and walked to the door. But like I usually do I had to make a smart comment... I just don't usually add nicknames on the end. "Good morning little kitten." I shut the door behind me and then I stopped because I heard something I dreaded to hear a muffled "I think I'm in love." coming from the other side of the door. Walking away I couldn't help but say. "Yeah, me too."
