Chapter 24

{Alanis}

I hear a loud banging on my door, causing me to wake up. I stand up to go see who it is.

It's my dad "Michael is here to pick you up." He says to me.

I check the time and see that it is 4am. What the hell Michael doesn't get up early. "Okay." I close the door to quickly get dressed in a Jack Daniels shirt Michael had given me and black skinny jeans. I throw my hair up in a bun and walk out.

I hug Mikey when I see him and follow him out. "Bye dad see you after school!" I yell before shutting the door.

"Why're you here so early?" I ask as I climb into the passenger seat and he closes the door behind me. He hops in the drivers seat.
"I don't want you talking to Chance."
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me. I don't want you to talk to him."
"First off you're not the boss of me. Second, why do you care so much?"

He starts to pull out of the driveway. He doesn't say anything, he looks as if he's very upset.

"I know I'm not the boss of you, but I don't like you talking to him." He finally responds about a minute later.
"Why though?"
"Because, Alanis just listen to me."
"I'm not just going to do what you say without a reason. He's been my best friend for a while, so without a great fucking reason of why I shouldn't, I'm still going to talk to him."

He pulls up to the school and I grab my bag and get out, not even waiting for him.

"Alanis get back here!" He yells out as he hops out of the car as well.

He's being a prick and I don't want to talk to him right now.

I feel a lump in my throat from that thought. I can't believe I'm having to basically choose between them.

The thing is Chance hasn't said anything about me not talking to Michael, he hasn't really said anything about it at all. I don't know I just need to be away from both of them for a little.

I go to find Marina but she's with Luke, of course.

The bell rings, causing a herd of high schoolers to flood the hallways. I really don't want to go to school, I know it's only the second day but I don't care. I walk behind the school and just walk around town. I turn back before leaving and see Michaels face in the school window, of course sitting next to Haley the whore, his eyes look puffy. He sees me and his eyes widen, looking very surprised. I turn around and leave, not taking another look.

My phone buzzes and I see his name come up on my screen.

From: boyfriend <3 (Mikey) at 7:15am
Babe where are you going?

He continues to blow up my phone.

From: boyfriend <3 (Mikey) at 7:16am
Please come back and I'll get out of class so we can talk.

From: boyfriend <3 (Mikey) at 7:17am
I will come find you if you don't fucking answer me.

I feel tears building up in both eyes. I just turn my phone off in attempt to get away. I don't want him to come find me doesn't he get the hint I need to think.

I know my dad is going to kill me when he finds out I was gone but I don't care.

I have no idea where I'm going but I'll find somewhere.

I walk behind a liquor store in an alley, I see a few shady men looking about 19 or 20 when I walk down there doing something that looks kind of illegal. I think it's a drug deal, oh my gosh. They shoot me a look and one man reaches in his big jacket and pulls out a gun.

My heart sinks.

I turn around a run, I don't know any sense of direction but I run. My eyes fill with tears causing blurry vision. I feel adrenaline kick in and I run I even faster. I turn to see one of the men pretty far back.

As soon I turn back all I see is the front end of a car. Suddenly the side of me is smashed into the car. I feel nothing and see my life flash before my eyes.

I black out.

A/N: OMG WHAT JUST HAPPENED O.O!?

But okay this authors note is gonna be a little longer but this weekend has been awesome! I went to a 5 seconds of summer concert with my best friends in Irvine! It was really one of the best nights of my life. When we got there, we were originally supposed to be on the lawn but the lady said my mom was being a good mom so she moved us up to the terrace ❤️ then we got there and Roy English came up and actually sounded really amazing! Then Hey Violet came on then 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER! They sounded so good and played for like 2 hours then played 5 extra songs! It was all so amazing!
