Max and Gidget: The First Date (Editing)

Chapter 1

No one's POV

It was early in the morning, Max awoke to his owner's alarm clock beeping. He felt well rested since his adventure around Boston yesterday. Max turned to look at his friend ,Duke, who was still asleep. Max was surprised he would imagine Duke being the first to be awake so he could eat.

Katie filled both Max and Duke's bowls with dog food, she had her morning breakfast and was ready to head to work. But before she left she said goodbye to her dogs, even though Duke was still asleep.

After Katie left, Max realized he had nothing to do. But his mind still lingered on what happened last night out side of his apartment. He pretty much asked Gidget, his neighbor, on a date and she loved the idea of it. Max thought mabey today he should take her on that date, mabey Gidget and him could become more than just friends. Max dozed off, he only came back to reality when Duke began to snore even louder. Max realized he should go see if Gidget was able for today before he did anything else. Max jumped out his window and maneuvered his way to the building adjacent to his, to go see Gidget.

When Max fianally made it to Gidget's apartment, he peaked over the window frame. There she was sitting on a pillow in front of a huge flat screen TV watching some show. Gidget had her eyes wide open and would run around in circles as she watched TV, Max giggled to himself seeing Gidget run around.

Max tapped on the window, he saw the TV get turned off. He then heard Gidget scamper to the window. As this happened, Max combed his fur with his paws trying to look his best for her. when the window finally opened, she saw Max, the sight of him gave her a huge smile on her face while her tailed wagged uncontrollably.

Gidget's POV

As soon as I saw him my stomach had butterflies. "Max! What are you doing here." I said happily.

Max looked at me a bit nervously and said. "H-Hi I was um... wondering if you were uh... free today."

Is he asking me on a date? Oh yes thank you lord! "Yeah I'm free today." I said in a cool manner trying to hide my excitement.

He gave a grin. "Perfect! I'm going to go get ready. I'll pick you up in an hour, how's that sound?"

"That's great I have to freshen up too." I said as I fluffed my fur.

"See you till than." Max said happily as he walked backwards into the fire escape.

I closed the window, I paced around on the floor. Max asked me out on a date, this is perfect.

"YES YES YES." I shouted into my empty home.

Good thing my owners won't be back until tomorrow, they might freak if I come home late. I should star getting myself ready. I managed to fill up the Tub, took sometime but I did it. Now for a bath.

Meanwhile Max's POV

I walked into the my apartment. I managed to get a date with Gidget. My mind went wild just thinking of her. Her soft fluffy fur, beautiful blue eyes, her cheery nature everything about her makes me go wild. Where can I take her? I should have actually planned this out. Mabey I should ask Duke for some advice.

I went to Duke, who was still asleep. I tried waking him up. I tugged his ear, nothing. I bounced on his back, nothing. Ugh why won't you wake up. I kicked the food bowl if frustration. It hit Duke right in the head.

"Oww! Why would you do that?" Duke said annoyed

"Great you're awake! I need your help with something. I asked Gidget ain't a date but I dont know where to take her." I said rapidly
