The previous chapter underwent a lot of changes, so I would suggest to re-read it before you read this one. You won't understand this one, without it.
P.S. Elliot's name has been swapped to Emma + Alistair has been swapped to Usama (Sam for short.)
Happy Reading! xx

"LEMON WHIPPED CREAM."
⠀⠀⠀ Darcy has just stepped out of the coffeehouse, bright orange hair erupting from her head and whirled into a slicked back low bun. She was zipping up her puffer jacket, up, up and up as she strode toward Jude Asher's car.
⠀⠀⠀ "What?" she said, smiling, though confused.
⠀⠀⠀ Jude faced her lazily, a faint smile on his lips. His black hair was mussed up, falling across his forehead in messy waves as he propped himself onto his window sill, forearm at the roof of his car, eyes squinting against winter's monochrome. "Lemon whipped cream," he echoed, dark eyes filled with mirth. "One pint and it's like the heartache never happened. It's my breakup formula. Want to get some?"
⠀⠀⠀ Darcy looked a bit taken aback, before answering carefully. "Mate, I'm not...the closest thing to heartbreak I've ever felt was when Sense8 got cancelled."
⠀⠀⠀ "Right..." he rolled his eyes, "I forgot you were a robot with skin."
⠀⠀⠀ Darcy chortled. "So where is this magical, heart-mending desert?" She kept her gaze steady on Jude's face, torn between wanting to show her sincerity, and wanting to protect herself. "Not that my heart needs mending."
⠀⠀⠀ Jude shrugged, looking heavenward. "It'd be better if I showed you,"
⠀⠀⠀ Darcy's expression flickered, and her calm mask dropped for just a moment, to reveal an almost hopeful expression. "I – I'd like that," she murmured, and felt the full weight of possibility at her own words.
⠀⠀⠀ "Brilliant," Jude's deep, unfathomable gaze snapped toward her once more. A rogue's grin adorning his plush lips. "Well, then. Hop in, Sumpter!"
⠀⠀⠀ A smile broke out and an unfamiliar, giddy melody bursted past her lips as she hurried and carried inside her car. Settled in, she thought drowsily, that by the end of this day she'd confront whatever this was between her and Jude, as soon as they'd finished with this escape.
