In Chapter 35 of book 2, Amelia tells Fred she loves him. When she starts talking about something sort of random, Fred makes the comment "...I thought you were going to confess you love for me." this is an echo from the first book when Amelia tells Fred she has no control over her magic. At this point in the book, she was really vulnerable, this is the first time she ever let her guard down around anyone in the entire series. This was a pivotal moment in their relationship, and by having Fred repeat the same statement it brings us back to the beginning of their relationship and shows us how far they have come together.
