"So what happened ?" I asked Tammy over the phone.

"They dropped a platter of food, they were plating it and it just slipped" she sighed.

"Lord, that's fine. They almost blew my cover"

"Yeah I know that's why I came out from the back, try to smooth things over. So where's August ?"

"He's getting tatted first. He told me to step out that's why I'm on the phone"

"Hmm, wonder what he's getting"

"Me too girl, you know he be inventive"

"Yup, a little too much" she laughed.

"Listen, a few people should be coming in, in the next two hours at least, just play host until I get there"

"Of course, Melissa and Nakisha here already"

"Yesssss!"

"Yeah, your brother texted me, he said they're on their way soon"

"Yes, he's with my mother and his girlfriend"

"August's mom is cooking something up, she said it was just to throw him off when he gets in"

"Oh so the girls are back?"

"Yup, Chandra said she's going to get them dressed"

"She's literally a life saver, he's been hounding me about his daughter" I laughed.

"Empty nest syndrome I see" she laughed.

"He feels like no one wanted to hang with him except the boys"

"He so dramatic"

"Super" I laughed.

"Aye bae" I heard August voice behind me.

I slowly turned around and looked as he showed me his arm. I looked down at what seemed like a rose, shaded in purple.

"Let me call you back" I spoke into my phone.

"Lata!" Tammy hung up.

I walked over to him and took a better look, he added my initials to April's. A small smile crept on my face. I admired it a little bit.

"So do you like it?"

"Nah"

"Say word?" August chuckled.

"I love it, that's cute, you cute" I smiled.

"Thought hey she's technically going to get my initials on her as well"

"They're April's" I tried to play it off.

"Hmm, yeah okay"

"You know that's the only reason" I laughed.

"Whatever, come on you next" he said as he led me to Mia.

I took my seat and Mia smiled at me.

"Where do you want this?" She asked me.

"Right here" I showed her my inner left wrist.

"Okay, let's get it" Mia smiled.

August took a seat and looked at me like he was waiting for the pain to be inflicted on me.

I closed my eyes and counted out the strokes in my head.

We finally left Mia's house giving her enough time to get ready and head over to the house. Both me and August had wraps on our tattoos. I smiled as he drove back and held on to my hand.
