"Sugino-kun! If you don't leave now, you'll miss the match!" Kayano said as she walked out of the classroom.

Sugino stuffed his things in his bag in a hurry, "I know! Just hold on."

He slung his bag on his shoulder and ran past Nagisa's desk where he was seated, "Let's go, Nagisa!"

Nagisa nodded, grabbed his bag and dashed out of the classroom behind Sugino.

They panted as they ran past the gates of (Your Junior High School), heading towards the baseball field.

They stopped and stood behind the fence, "It's almost over." Nagisa said and adjusted his bag strap on his shoulder.

Sugino couldn't help but blush seeing your figure, clutching to the bat and ready to hit.

You exhaled as you tightened your grip on your bat. If you made this shot, your team would win and you would earn a spot in the upcoming competition.

With your heart beating incredibly fast, you watched the ball fly towards you and swung.

"HOMERUN!" Your teammates yelled in unison as the ball flew over the fence.

Sugino sighed in relief. You threw your bat to the ground and started running. You nearly tripped when you reached the third base. Panting, you slid towards the last base, earning a few scratches on your arms.

The whistle blew and your team yelled and started hugging each other. You sighed and stood up, giving your teammates high-fives as you made your way to pick up your bat.

"Nice hit, (L/N)!" One of your teammates said as she patted your shoulder.

You nodded in response and offered a snall smile. You walked towards the bench to grab your face towel and your water bottle.

"Nagisa, wait for me here." Sugino said and left.

The cold water refreshed your face. Hearing footsteps, you turned off the sink and wiped your face.

"H-Hi, (L/N)-san.."

You hung your towel around your neck, "Oh, Su...Sugita-kun."

"It's Sugino.." Sugino corrected as he scratched his cheek.

Color touched your cheeks, "I'm sorry."

"A-Anyways," He said, "Nice batting."

"Thank you." You replied, keeping your expression unchanged.

"S-Sooo," Sugino stuttered, "Wh-Which player holds the water?"

You blinked, "What?"

"The pitcher!" Sugino said, "Badum, tss~!"

You let out a small laugh causing the young boy to blush. You noticed him staring at you.

You tilted your head to the side and asked, "What's wrong?"

Sugino immediately looked away, "N-Nothing! It's just that seeing you laugh is a first for me."

"S-So," He grabbed your hands and lifted it up, "C-Can I have your number in... in case you need a reason to smile?"

You wore a tight smile and replied, "Of course."
