Season: 2
Episode(s): Bloodletting - Save the Last One
*Ryan's POV*
I approached the highway and saw a group of people. Once I got close enough, I heard one of them speak.
"Shot? What do you mean, shot?" an old man asked.
"I don't know, Dale. I wasn't there," an Asian boy said. "All I know is that this chick rode out of nowhere like Zorro on a horse and took Lori."
"That chick's my sister, Maggie," I made my presence known. All weapons are on me in an instance. I hop of Sleipnir with my hands up.
"Who the hell are you?" a blonde woman asked.
"Name's Ryan. And before you ask, Carl is alive," I said. I looked at a man with dark hair and a crossbow. The first thing that came to my mind was...
"Merle?" I asked involuntarily.
"What the hell did you just say?" Crossbow Man approached me. I didn't answer. He grabbed my shoulders.
"Why the hell did you say my brother's name?" he shook me.
"You're his brother!" I exclaimed. "Holy-- is he here? Is he alive?"
"Dunno," the man asked. "I'm his brother, Daryl. Ain't you the chick he had on his motorcycle once?"
"Yeah," I nodded. I couldn't believe it. I didn't find Merle, but I found his brother.
"I heard screams, was that you?" the old man asked the blonde.
"She got attacked by a walker," the Asian said. "It was a close call."
"Andrea, are you alright?" the old man repeated. Andrea gave him a death glare and went into the RV.
"I heard you're looking for a missing girl?" I asked.
"My daughter, Sophia," a woman with short, grey hair said. "I'm Carol."
"Anyway, I'm supposed to stay with you until tomorrow, okay?" I asked. Everyone nodded. I looked at Daryl. There was something about him that made him look exactly like Merle. It wasn't the hair, it wasn't the face...
Oh.
It was the eyes.
Those piercing, sparkling, Georgia blue eyes that held so much pain and fear, but didn't dare to let themselves be shown.

"I won't do it," Carol said. "We can't just leave."
"Carol, the group is split," the old man, who I learned was called Dale, said. "We're scattered and weak."
"What if she comes back and we're not here?" Carol asked. "It could happen."
"If Sophia found her way back and we were gone, that would be awful," Andrea sided with Carol.
"Okay," Daryl started. "We got to plan for this. I say tomorrow morning is soon enough to pull up stakes. Give us a chance to rig a big sign, leave her some supplies. I'll hold here tonight, stay with the RV."
"If the RV is staying, I am, too," Dale said.
"Same," I said. Daryl sent me a look, but hid it right away.
"Thank you," Carol smiled. "Thank you all."
"I'm in," Andrea raised a hand.
"Well, if you're all staying, then I'm--" the Asian, who's name I learned was Glenn, said.
