Heyy! So 1DCurlyCarrotLover suggested that I do a rant about my favourite Disney movie. And you can check out their mini rant in the comments of my chapter called WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT? or something along those lines. Okay, when CurlyCarrot did this, they talked about how they didn't get a movie a chance, and then they tried to watch it again, and became obsessed with it. I've never really been in that type of scenario before, but I'm going to rant differently than CurlyCarrot. So I'm going to point out the really good things in one of my favourite Disney movies, and the really dumb and stupid stuff about it. Let's do this!
MOVIE:
LION KING (I KNOW THAT I'M A BASIC BITCH)
GOOD THINGS:
IT WAS JUST SO INSPIRATIONAL IN A WAY. THE MUSIC WAS FANTASTIC AND IT GAVE A GOOD MESSAGE. IT WAS EASY TO FALL INLOVE WITH THE CHARACTERS. EVEN IF SOME COULD BE A TAD ARROGANT SOMETIMES AND THE DEATH SCENE OF MUFASA WAS SO SAD, BUT IT WAS A NECESSARY MOMENT IN THE MOVIE. AND I LIKE HOW WITH THE HAPPY ENDING IT WAS KNDA MELANCHOLY IN A WAY. SO YEAH, THOSE ARE SOME OF THE GOOD THINGS. LET'S MOVE ON TO THE BAD!
BAD THINGS:
OKAY SO REMEMBER WHEN MUFASA WAS TELLING SIMBA ABOUT THE DARK SIDE OF THE PLAIN THINGS OR WHATEVER. LIKE WHY WAS IT DARK THERE, WHY DID THE LIGHT MIRACULOUSLY STOP AT SOME RANDOM POINT, AND THAT POINT SO HAPPENED TO BE A BOUNDARY BETWEEN THE 'GOOD AND THE BAD' IN THIS CASE. ALSO, WHEN SIMBA CAME BACK, WHY THE HELL DID THE GRASS AND ANIMALS JUST START REAPPEARING, AND IT WAS SUNNY AND STUFF (WAIT, WAS IT SUNNY? OR WAS IT JUST HAPPY?) LIKE, WHAT IS SIMBA, A GOD OR SOMETHING? SO YEAH, SOME THINGS DIDN'T MAKE SENSE.
