Chapter 7: Uta's Back

Song is not chosen for the chapter, just love it so much and I recommend listening to it. It's called Dragostea Din Tei. I'm actually listening to it from my iPod Nano on repeat while writing this chapter... it's on Just Dance 2017 if you think you've heard it from somewhere like that. If you have that game, you have. I can't stop singing it Iin Romanian or English, it's taken my life. Also tell m if you just saw the video picture and clicked/taped it without thinking...

I wake up in the morning only to find Juuzou not in bed. I stretch my arms out and get out of bed and go to wake up Mai. I walk into her room and lay on top of the young girl. "Mommy! Why?!" She wines. I giggle, "Daddy already left for work." I climb under the covers and snuggle up to her. "Mai," I look down at her, "Hmm..." She looks up at me. "Do you want to stay home with me today?" I ask her. Her face lights up, "Yes! Yes please! (Me too, Mai!! XD)" I chuckle, "Then let's go!" I tell her before pulling her out of bed and getting her dressed. I put her in (picture above) and do her long, black hair into a bun and tie a red bow around it. She looks really cute!!!! We run out onto the streets together, ready to get our day started.

We walk down the street full of shops, looking at every little thing that decorates the windows. Mai pulls me into one store, a store of dresses. We try on many and buy a few. Mai picks out a cute, short, summer dress that has a light blue design and white trimming. I on the other hand, pick out a knee-length, summer dress that has (f/c) designs and a (s/f/c) trim. We walk out and I notice a familiar black haired man walk by and start heading down the road. I pull Mai along as I follow him.

He takes weird twists and turns down the street that oddly remind me of something. I watch as he heads down a long staircase and we follow behind, sadly though, I loose him at the bottom. But fortunately, I spot him opening a huge metal door to a familiar shop, Uta's mask shop. I sprint to the door and grab it right after he walks in. Mai needs a mask anyways, might as well get one. I got my new mask from here a week after we found her. "Want to get a mask, Mai?" I ask her as I tightly hold the door to not close. She nods and we walk in. The weird thing is, this shop has been closed for a while because of Uta's absence from it. So, is he back? I open the door wide open for Mai and she slowly walks in. I follow after her and quietly shut the door. The man is nowhere to be seen. I turn to Mai, "Go look around for a second, ok?" I tell her. She nods and walks around the store, "Mommy?" I look over at her, "Isn't that your old mask?" I look up at it and notice it is my old mask, "He kept it?" I look around and notice multiple masks I have seen from older ghouls, even masks I have never seen. "He really keeps the masks he gets from his costumers?" I walk through the store with Mai following behind me. "Hello?" I call out. "(Y/n)?" I hear a voice come from behind me. I freeze and Mai turns around, "Uta!" Mai runs up to the man that helped me save her. He catches her and hugs her tightly. "Hey, Mai. Long time, no see." I turn around and see the man who is my idol hugging my daughter. I look to my feet and he stands up straight, "It's been a while, (y/n). How have you been?" Mai knows something was off about how I was acting. "Mommy?" I look down at Mai, "Yes, Mai?" She walks up to me and hugs me, "Don't you miss Uta?" I smile and nod, "I did miss him, but you know I have Daddy." Uta comes down to Mai's height, "Don't worry, Mai, I'll get her back one day~." He whispers. Mai giggles, "Have fun trying, Mommy has Daddy now." Uta looks up at me, "Who's 'Daddy'?" I chuckle, "First, don't ever say that! Second, it's my boyfriend, Juuzou." I tell him. He looks at me, "Wait, Sazuya Juuzou?!" He gets to his feet. I nod, "Are you sure that's safe for Mai!?" Uta asks. I sigh, "He would never hurt Mai or me, Uta. And why the heck do you care? You left us." Mai looks down at her feet, "I don't want to be left alone again..." I hear her mumble. I go to her height and pick her up and she hugs me. "I know, Mai. I don't either." I tell her. She nuzzles her face in my neck. Uta looks over at my old mask on the wall, I glance over at it. "I didn't think you would keep it up." The smallest smile appears on Uta's face, "Everytime I see it I picture the girl I love, The Butterfly." I smile slightly, "I saw it when we came in. It reminded me of when we were together." I sit Mai down and whisper to her, "Look around a bit while I talk to Uta please." I tell her. She frowns but goes off anyways. I push Uta to the back of the shop and shut the door that separates the two rooms. I turn to him, "Please, take a seat." I tells him. He looks at me like I'm crazy, "Is something up, (y/n)?" I sigh, " "Just sit down and I'll tell you." He sits down and looks up at me. "Uta," his eyes grow slightly and he looks really fricking cute (we all know the face!!! And we all love it!!!). I sigh and glare at him slightly, "I'm pregnant, Uta." His eyes grow a bit more, but he still keeps a straight face. "What?" He looks more shocked then anything. "Does Juuzou know this? Does Mai know this? Why are you telling me?" He asks me. I sigh, "Juuzou does know, Mai doesn't yet. And I'm telling you because I have a thought that is always telling me it's probably not Juuzou's, it could be yours." He freezes. I look around the room then back at him, "Umm... Uta?" I move a bit closer to him and wave my hand in his face. "You there? Uta?" He still stares at the place I was standing. "Great, you're not moving." I groan internally and walk out. "(Y/n)! Wait!" Uta calls out to me. I feel him grip my arm as my hand touches the door knob. "Yes, Uta?" He sighs, "If it is mine, what will you do?" I freeze, I really didn't think about that. "I don't know, Uta. I want you to be there for it then, but I don't know how Juuzou will take it." He nods slightly and hugs me from behind, "If he really loves you as much as you think, then he will help you no matter what." I feel his soft lips press to the top of my head. A small smile forms on my lips, "Thank you, Uta." I turn around and hug him. The door slings open and Mai stands there with my phone. "Mo-!" I pull away from Uta and turn to Mai. "What is it, Mai?" I ask. She giggles and passes me my phone, "Daddy called you. I didn't hear it until I was right next to it on the counter. It said he was calling you multiple times." I look at the time and notice it is 10:45. "Frick! Juuzou's probably worried about us!" I call him and hug Uta bye, "We need to go, Juuzou is worried about us." I tell him, "Crap!" He looks at me worried, "He's not answering now." He nods and hugs Mai. "Hey, if you want I can walk you home, it's dangerous at this time of night." I chuckle, "Uta, No Face, I'm 'The Butterfly', we'll be fine." I tell him and pick up Mai. "We'll come back tomorrow to get Mai a mask, since she doesn't have school tomorrow." He nods and holds open the door for us. "Bye!" Mai waves to him. He waves back and we head up to stairs. We walk down the empty street until a man comes around the corner, "Hello, miss." He tells me. I could smell him, he's a Ghoul, obviously looking for food. I sigh, "Look, buddy, I know it's hard to find food sometimes, especially when you're desperate, but I can tell you right now, you don't want to mess with me." I tell him. He chuckles, "Really? I think I do, you're eating for two and you have a child with a good amount of meat on her bones." I chuckle, "Seriously, dude. Rethink your idea." I order. He chuckles and I sit Mai down. He grips my arm and I sling my leg at him, sending him into an alleyway. Mai looks surprised but it goes away after a while. I walk into the alleyway with my hands in my pockets. "You should have rethought it when you had the chance." I send out my kakuja and my wing-like Ukaku and four black arm-like Rinkaku. I turn my head to Mai, "Cover your eyes, Mai." She does so. I shoot shards of my Ukaku at the man, he falls to the floor and I watch as his Koukaku comes out, it's a nice white color and I see him try to get to his feet. He sprints at me, but I quickly dodge him and grab his hoodie and sling him back on the wall. "You will wish we never messed with me..." I slash off his arm with my Rinkaku. He screams out in pain, as I cut off his limbs. (I'm making it get dark.) His blood splatters everywhere. I watch as he lays on the ground, tears streaming down his face, I kneel down to him. "I-I'm so-!" I cut him off by ripping off his head. (IM SORRY!!!!) I throw it to the side and get to my feet. I turn to see Mai turned facing the road and I walk up to her. I pull her to me and hug her, "Mai, let's go home." She nods and hugs my waist tightly as we walk.

I'm so sorry for taking so dang long on writing this!!!!! I was trying to make it great!!
I question how Juuzou is going to take all the blood on you...
